Tonight on 360°, we share some of your suggestions to stop the oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico. BP and others aren't having much luck. Maybe your idea can solve the mess. Plus, a new controversy for Arizona after the governor signs a new bill. We also take you inside the battle for Afghanistan with author and journalist Sebastian Junger. That's tonight's 'Big 360° Interview'.

Here are some of them:
1) Keep it short (we don't have time to read a "book")
2) Don't write in ALL CAPS (there's no need to yell)
3) Use your real name (first name only is fine)
4) No links
5) Watch your language (keep it G-rated; PG at worst - and that includes $#&*)

A very in depth discussion with Sebastien Junger.
I bet that cub loves his mother, though a tough way to get down.
Good night everyone
@Montez I think you're analysis is spot-on — there are probably several ways to stop the leak that are destructive, but not so many that will allow the well to be reactivated (cost-effectively) when the disaster is behind us. Economic self-interest goes a long way to explaining why ideas like your catheter and @Luis Texeira's multi-hole approach aren't getting a lot of air time. (And I definitely agree with @Todd M.'s suggestion to turn the experts loose on this problem.)
momma bear deserves a AC360 shirt!
@David,
I think we can only guess! (at the amount of oil!)
put a sleve on the pipe thats held on by bolts.
can't these chemists develop a system that seperates water from the oil. I mean they can build a system that could do that. They could find a way of the oil going into some man made lake or dam and the water staying in the natural body of water system some how they should be able to figure that out.
Good evening Anderson! Loved that momma bear clip! LOL 🙂 G'nite!
mr cooper .a good way to stop the oil leak is to put pipe threads in the inside of the pipe and install a plug .
great SHOT!
have a wonderful and safe night, everyone. see you all tomorrow!
goodnight, Anderson and to your amazing AC360 staff!
That's my question, Emily-if he felt compelled to make something up to benefit himself, why didn't he at least refrain from fanning flames like that? I'm just remembering something....all of a sudden. Was it Susan Smith (who drowned her children in the car) who first said it was black man that stole the car or something? It's ringing old bells for me. Why on earth do they say that? Does it sound as opposite from themselves as they can think of, to throw the investigators off the track?
Good Night Everyone! Mom, Mom help I can't get down!
Good night Anderson and bloggers Emily, Mike, and Starr.
Leave it mom to get you out of sticky situations 🙂 have a good week and weekend everyone!
Thank you and good night Anderson & entire Team 360. Really good show tonight. Seriously, Anderson you should look over some of the suggestions for solutions to the leak and then run it by some real engineers.
Good night all – i wish you a safe and pleasant day tomorrow.
The bear shot geat! And i bet the cub will not do that again!
It’s difficult to believe that the large companies involved in the oil spill, armed with their educated employees, money, and research, don't have effective contingency plans in case of a spill. Where's their oversight prior to and during drilling? To drive my car, I must have working lights, tags, insurance, and so on. If I'm deficient, I'm promptly stopped and fined on the spot to protect myself and others. Similarly, those involved in oil exploration/drilling should be held to the highest standards since billions of dollars and significant ocean life, not to mention human lives, are at stake.
Funny shot!!! LOve it!!!! Awwww! thanks!!!
Goodnight, and thank you for everything...this is tooooo much fun:)
