I find it intresting that Shakira doesn't even travel with her passport, she just feels so above the law and is outspoken about policies in a country she isn't even a citizen of.
Why isn't she putting her effort to better her own country of Columbia which is rampant with corruption, widespread kidnapping and violence.
Shake your hips not your lips...
This law was only passed because nobody in washington wants anything to do with immigration on either side! We can secure our borders and help people become citizens with a sponsorship program
Shakira is a fantastic performer and she is entitled to an opinion. However, she should worry about her own country's affairs (which are very serious). She is not living the every day life of Arizonans and is making unilateral judgements like everybody else. I wonder if she devotes the same efforts complaining about Colombia's immigration laws. She should be concentrating her efforts campaigning to the Mexican government to provide a better life for their citizens, so they would not have to come here. When travelling overseas, you should always carry your passport with you. Every single hotel I have stayed in Europe has demanded to see my passport. What is wrong with that? I really believe you should be polite when visiting another country. I was disappointed with Shakira's behavior.
