Tonight on 360°, breaking news on the Iceland volcano. New details on why the plan to open more airspace tomorrow could be in jeopardy. Plus, did Goldman Sachs rip-off investors so that a hedge-fund billionaire could get even richer? The latest on the lawsuit against the Wall Street powerhouse and the larger effort to regulate Wall Street.

Scroll down to join the live chat during the program. It's your chance to share your thoughts on tonight's headlines. Keep in mind, you have a better chance of having your comment get past our moderators if you follow our rules.

Here are some of them:

1) Keep it short (we don't have time to read a "book")
2) Don't write in ALL CAPS (there's no need to yell)
3) Use your real name (first name only is fine)
4) No links
5) Watch your language (keep it G-rated; PG at worst - and that includes $#&*)

    It's not good to be extreme on either end...
    it seems that true for so much of life & I think that most people live like that... that they are not extreme on either end.

    I read that each American taxpayer is on the hook for $300,000 for this whole Wall Street mess, and the stimulus.

    And one has to ask: How has George Soros made 3.3 Billion this year, – his fortunes have risen with Wall Street's.

  32. Casey Jones - Palm Springs, CA

    @Karoline...."I have heard the the repeal of the Glass-Steagall Act in 1999 set the stage for this whole mess."

    This is a prime example of why any reform won't work unless there is reform in lobbying. BTW, the repeal was led by Phil Graham and Jim Leach, both Republicans.

    @Starr, I agree we are all American, hope people don't lose sight of this.

    So how did Paulson bet against the securities? They bought the CDS's? Did they have ownership of the securities?

    A great panel discussion. I would say the main mitigating factor is that the practice of betting against securities that a company was itself issuing (I have questions about if I'm getting this right) was apparently industry wide. But it does seem as Michael Lewis just noted a built in conflict of interest.

    Hi Everyone,

    Missed blogging on AC360. Late for tonight but just wanted to get a word in on the Volcano in Iceland, it's humbling how nature keeps reminding us that we are really not in control...

    @Sonya, TN,

    "everytime I complain to my bank about their processes, they look at me with a "deal with it" expression."

    If I were you, I'd close that account and move to a different bank.
    I did that with a phone company I was not happy with...they are now calling & sending mail with all kinds of "deals" to get me back.

    Goldman took on these credit default swaps knowing that it was insured by AIG. When the financial instruments failed – AIG had to make good on the payments. That was all orchestrated behind the scenes by the insiders at Goldman and treasury.

    That's another way I've heard this all explained--That the Federal Reserve basically bailed out a lot of very huge casinos. Casinos that we can't let fail because they have their tentacles in so many businesses' and individuals' wallets.

    Well, shoot. I hate blood running out of my steak. I am reminded I am eating flesh. I guess I have to go back to vegetarianism. . yet again

    @Sheila Toomey

    I dislike Michael Moore....but with this Wall Street story reminds me of when he went to Wall Street asking for our bailout money back. I do not trust Wall Street. I think its all coruption
    ______

    I would recommend everyone to see Michael Moore's "Capitalism: A Love Story". Very informative and eye-opening about Wall Street.

    If indeed we NEED our govt to regulate both Wall St and Main St that tells me our society is in deep trouble, if we have lost the ability to know the difference between right and wrong to that degree than we are truly a lost nation. Why then if we have lost faith in those institutions wouldn't the same apply to our government? They are no different than those they govern.

    So GS is like a bank that sells accounts to its customers but also places bets against those customers, like a casino?

    Am I getting this? Do we want casinos running the Fed?
