A federal magistrate ordered Friday that eight people accused of plotting to kill police officers as part of a revolt against the U.S. government be held in jail pending their trial.

Magistrate Judge Donald Scheer said he was entering orders of detention for the members of the Michigan-based Hutaree militia.

Let's not be swayed by the statement that they are "for America". Let racism and race superiority be exposed for what it is. The reality that our country is becoming more and more diverse cannot be denied, except by those who want to hang onto the outdated notion that they are supposed to rule the world. Though they will try to claim that their greivance is addressed to the government. the real basis of their gripe is that it is not a government designed to protect the white supremacist position. But that is not a politically correct way to state it so for now it's anti-government, not anti-everything not white. Let's keep it real. Lock em up like the threats to normal society they are.

They deserve due process and more than adequate representation, there has to be little that occurs during this process that will give them a basis for appeal. There is no reason they shouldn't and couldn't remain in custody since, if accusations are true, they are a certain risk for violence and/or going into hiding with like thinkers. Again, IF guilty, and it certainly looks like it, they would appear to be candidates for being charge as 'domestic' terrorists since they target law enforcement in an ambush plan.
