We've got breaking news on the 'Christian warrior' militia accused of plotting to kill police to kick off its war against the U.S. government. There are new details on the investigation we'll bring you tonight. Plus, we begin our special investigation 'Scientology: A History of Violence.'
Scroll down to join the live chat during the program. It's your chance to share your thoughts on tonight's headlines. Keep in mind, you have a better chance of having your comment get past our moderators if you follow our rules.
Here are some of them:
1) Keep it short (we don't have time to read a "book")
2) Don't write in ALL CAPS (there's no need to yell)
3) Use your real name (first name only is fine)
4) No links
5) Watch your language (keep it G-rated; PG at worst - and that includes $#&*)

Anderson Cooper goes beyond the headlines to tell stories from many points of view, so you can make up your own mind about the news. Tune in weeknights at 8 and 10 ET on CNN.

Lori,S. California, I think they are unused to being questioned....are probably used to being taken at face value.
I think the cutest version of The Shot is the guy tickleing the grey kitten. That viral video is my absolute FAVE!
@Annie Kate, "Miscavige sounds like a big bully who uses "religion" as a shield to justify his abuse of others."
Every religion or cult (like Scientology) does the same thing. This is not anything new or unheard of.
A paid ministry is always ripe for abuse because eventually the ministers realize they have to say things that are appealing to the members in order to get people to donate money.
I'm looking forward to the cutest shot.....I love the animal shots.
Of course Mr. Tommy Davis and the rest of the leaders are going to deny it..the reputation of the entire Scientology cult or religion or whatever it is is at stake just like the Catholic church denies/hides the molestation accusations? DENY DENY DENY is all they ever do!
Good night everyone!
This really makes me wonder if Anderson will get public backlash from Tom Cruise. Thank you 360 for busting another group of despicable, disrespectful people.
Wow...Anderson "stop be so rude" ....what a joke...just because you are bringing this story out. Just trying to get to the truth...Thanks Anderson for your great work!!!
sounds like these scientologist members can't get along.... can't even get their stories straight.
It's meglomania fed by paranoia, inspired by avarice and greed.
@Gloria- thank you back and thanks for your clarification of your comment. you are, of course, right on point regarding the way of Christ as i understood it too.
Scientology, who knew?? Certainly sounds like abusive behavior, but by only one person (at least so far).
Many churches are falling. First the Vatican, now Scientology. I believe some priests have also admitted to hitting alot of the young boys. This is beyond sick!
The Vatican has the Swiss Guard, which protects the Vatican and the Pope. A very small but professional group.
what you dont know is that the ex wives are ex's for a reason when you leave scientology you have to leave your family in the church if they dont want to leave...they have no contact with you. XENU!
You were not being rude Ac.
Martina Ilstad Germany,
Welcome back, Apology accept!!!!! 🙂 Nice see you again since 3 months!
Why are they trying to justify isolated incidents.
Anderson is the most polite person I have ever met.
I would put Scientology and Masons in the same category.
Are these people so completely brainwashed that they have lost all common sense? I don't care what organization you belong to, if someone tells you to abuse another person a bell should go off in your head.
Miscavige sounds like a big bully who uses "religion" as a shield to justify his abuse of others. How this man and his other people get away with the abuse of others for so long is horrible. Why did no one ever complain legally about this going on?
I'm late to the show tonight...but wow, this is very strange stuff!
There is no excuse for hitting employees. That is just wierd.
I think you can say that the pedophile cult Man Boy Love Association is not a religion, yet they treat it with rules, and higher authority. Religions are not cults if they encourage pro socials values that make society a healthier more stable place.
i had a book
\
many years ago, written by an ex- member of this church. i lent it out and never got it back. when i did try to find it again, 'cause the church had it taken off the market somehow.
It's worth the time to read on the internet what the beliefs are of scientology - it's just not like any religion - way-out space-beings and stuff. Check it out!
Tommy Davis...not exactly credible. Accusers just don't come out from the shadows, so to speak, to make accusations that could undermine their own credibility.
@ Dulcie, what military of the Catholic church?
They also have an intelligence agency, the Office of Special Affairs, does the Catholic church have that?
i was just going to say...the lawyer who is denying has got to eb a scientologist.
they worship XENU the great galactic overloard....i am serious....look it up
Miscavage reminds me of Damien from the movie The Omen.
David Miscavige is even shorter than Tom Cruise. How could such a little guy be beating on all these much bigger guys?
I wonder what religion Rathbun belongs to now and before he was a Scientologist?
beating people up is part of eternal salvation? i'm not sure about this...also when someone id being beaten, who are present? this sound like Adult Bullying...shame on them.
I had absolutely no idea that the Scientology compound is in my county. I wonder how they affect the community and the economics of the county.
@ Monique Very GOOD point!
I never consider a Scientology a religion. I can't fathom it.
Whenever Church or Religion is tied to Science, trouble is always near.
Sheesh, I'd be terrified of a church with a military. Yes, the Catholic Church has a military, though it's mostly ceremonial.
The church of scientology sounds like a scary place.
@Starr
Apology accepted!
" What I meant was true Christian follow the way of Christ in love and peace!"
listening to turmoil within religions groups and organizations is always interesting – what it should be doing is challenging beliefs against truths and resolving the discrepancies between the two
Anderson, I don't understand how you can do a story like this without looking into the "beliefs and activities" of an organization as big and as powerful as Scientology. They are so secretive how would you know this is not a part of their church rituals?
When you investigate the Catholic Church you don't put any such boundaries on your investigation. Why are you doing it with Scientology?
@ casey. Yes you caught my meaning.
In the breaking news reports on CNN regarding the arrest of "Christian warrior" militia members in Michigan, it's another instance of little boys wanting to play a dangerous game of war. Let's draft and send them to Afghanistan to fight our main enemy like al-Qaeda so that they can get it out of their system to do some killing, but on behalf of doing it for the good of the U.S.
I was in $cientology's prison camp, the RPF many years ago. I had to sign a waiver for $50,000 if I ever talked about it. I did talk about it, they didn't do anything. They'll tell you that kind of stuff doesn't happen any more. They're right – IT'S WORSE. Miscavige is a lying little creep Napoleon who needs good bodyguards, just like they did it in 1977.
Hey Anderson
I am really happy be back, because i missed the show for maybe three mounth,i am so sorry.
All this bad storrys happened today makes me so sad,but you do a verry good job again.
The church is obviously coercing the ex members former spouses into lying.
I guess I would ask why these folks are coming forward now to make these claims???? Does the report ask this? However, their spokesperson's denial of violence "as they describe it" is a strange sort of suspect thing to say. Any kind of abuse or violence should not be tolerated. What would be the rationale for this in the church?
it is a cult, as once was every religion. but I totally agree with Susan from NJ. My only concern is who is their God? Science? science has been wronged before but my God Jesus Christ has Never.
Please please please ask Tommy about the musical chairs incident!
