Militia Accused of Plotting War Against U.S.: Join the Live Chat

[cnn-photo-caption image=http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2009/images/01/02/liveblogfinal.copy.jpg]

We've got breaking news on the 'Christian warrior' militia accused of plotting to kill police to kick off its war against the U.S. government.  There are new details on the investigation we'll bring you tonight.  Plus, we begin our special investigation 'Scientology: A History of Violence.'

Scroll down to join the live chat during the program. It's your chance to share your thoughts on tonight's headlines. Keep in mind, you have a better chance of having your comment get past our moderators if you follow our rules.

Here are some of them:

1) Keep it short (we don't have time to read a "book")
2) Don't write in ALL CAPS (there's no need to yell)
3) Use your real name (first name only is fine)
4) No links
5) Watch your language (keep it G-rated; PG at worst - and that includes $#&*)

Why do radical groups claim they're killing for Jesus? Jesus can rise from the dead, do you really think He needs help taking people out?

My dayghter lived by one of them in her apartment complex. She said they were only there for a couple weeks. My mom lives in Hillsdale and said it was like a massive invasion. To me they a warped people, who took it to far.

I had no idea that people are going this far! I guess they are feeling so pushed by governments and agencies that they have to resort to this style of violence. Sad but one does have to stand back and ask "why"? What is it that they feel they are losing? Thank you for waking us up to this.

Good evening Anderson, Isabel, Emily, Starr, Megan, everyone.

Stunning allegations against upper reaches of Scientology.

Maybe DHS shld've stuck by it's rept, but the pt about veterans was a massive assumption. I don't think call the rept "crap" is the best commentary.

I think it's incredibly hard to link those three events Anderson.

An odd group, those are worrying allegations.

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

The original reports put together by Napolitano were dead on accurate. I can't wait to see Michelle Malkin try and explain this one.

I could be wrong, but it seems to me that extremests in the 3 top religions are starting to take up a lot of attention.

There seems to be violence associated with all of them (I am including Hebrew peoples because of the present conservative government in Israel who do not seem to want to promote peace with the Palestinians.)

Anybody can call oneself christian, and yet that one does not follow the way of the Christ in love and peace!

Sexual Bondage? Don't they have more important issues for national air time. The GOPs priorities sure seem screwed up.

These people are 10 miles from me. It just goes to show you, you never really know who people are. Unfortunately we must always be somewhat cautious.

Hello Anderson......................Wow...what a bunch of nuts up in MI...my former home state. Why is it that anyone can go in and buy military uniforms and carry out these war games.

I'm looking to your report the Church of Scientology. are the big/ famous people going to defend their organization or will they keep their mouth shuts again? I dont get this group.

@Starr – You're welcome! It certainly applies to them. They tend to make out that they're very religious, but it's not any kind of mainstream religion.

As with extreme right and left group's,,so are some militia group's.Especially in the mid to northern area's of MI. Some of the militia group's are peaceful,,but there are a few that are like sitting time bomb's waiting to go off....We can't forget Waco or Ruby Ridge.

    Anderson,
By the way, that word you are saying "Hutaree" is pronounced exactly like the swahili word "Hatari" which means danger. This movement clearly has crossed the very thin line between :freedom of expression", as has been propagated, now distorted in this country to become "extremism" in the neighborhood of "terrorism".

Good evening everyone. The Scientology report is pretty shocking. Also these militia plots are nothing new but we haven't heard of anything with this specific a plan in a while. Somehow Armaggedon always factors in.

These militias and lone wolf persons truly frighten me.

There is no doubt that they truly believe whatever philosopy that they espouse.

They could cause real trouble at any time, anywhere.

Exposing so many young people to the horrors of war over repeated deployment will of course produce a significant number of unbalanced individuals who will present a social probem in the future. It is obvious from any number of past wars that that is one of the consequences of a decision to go to war.
