Tonight on 360°, the done deal on health care. The House and Senate both approving "fixes" to the bill today. We've got the raw politics. Plus,  police in New Jersey say they've solved what is one of the state's oldest cold case. Hear what they say happened to five teenage boys who vanished 32 years ago.

Here are some of them:

1) Keep it short (we don't have time to read a "book")
2) Don't write in ALL CAPS (there's no need to yell)
3) Use your real name (first name only is fine)
4) No links
5) Watch your language (keep it G-rated; PG at worst - and that includes $#&*)

I think all these politicians, both sides, ought to go home for about two weeks and take a Zantac each day, don't answer the phone, email or any other communication device and give us all a rest from their ranting and raving.

The threat of real terrorism is from within our own country, when adults act so foolishly that they promote hatred and racism. It makes me sick!

    @Jo Ann,
I agree! Both sides are acting very shoddy. The name calling, etc. Both are behaving very badly. 🙁

re the attacks on dem and rep representatives, it comes to mind that this may be a radical left wing group trying to incite violence by playing the differences between the parties. it is the right moment to try to discredit our democracy.

It's really unfortunate that the Pandora's box was opened and now all the crazies are flying out of the box and using the healthcare issue to justify their behavior. STOP, just STOP.

Threats/violence is never the answer it won't ever solve anything. When will some people ever learn.

Hi everyone, Glad the Dems. got it done, I was beginning to think they werent going to......The ugly rhetoric that has been the norm, is sickening.... I hope that the FBI will arrest those responsible for threats, and they will be prosecuted.......

I don't consider the voicemail to the republican is consider a hate voicemail. It appears he is just venting his concern that the polical party is racist, which i am beginning to think myself. Why wouldnt they support Obama, Cost? but they approve of this war expenditures?

I haven't heard any Democrats condemning threats by their followers either.

I'm sure you're right in the big picture, Jo Ann....but why pursue a behavior when one despises it in others?

Wow!! That was so nasty comments from Eric Cantor and Boners.

The threats are coming from all sides. Liberals are not strangers to threats and violence in order to get their points across.

LisaL. Canada, it's very much like when 'free speech' becomes shouting 'fire!'

  16. Mrs. Wilson

This is not democracy, when republicans take office will the democrats be unwilling to work with the republicans.

The Congressman who called Congressman Stupak "baby killer" apologized then used his comment to raise fund for his campaign also. Let's keep em honest.

It makes me sad that people are doing really stupid things just to make their point ( i.e., graffitti, throwing bricks, death threats, etc.) These kinds of behaviors from people who we elected to do the job is truly embarrassing.

Can we all get things done the proper way?

    March 25, 2010 at 10:09 pm |
  19. Nancy in Oregon

I agree, A. Smith....so far, there has not been almost any public Republican who has strongly put down the behaviors.

in all of these nasty words and threats and such, where IS 'the line', and WHAT is 'the line', and who exactly decides that? is it supposed to be some level of political correctness, or social maturity, or some arbitrary definition? and how far does free speech go before it's insulting verbal bullying? and where, past that, is it out of hand?

Who is Obama trying to kid? Most of the provisons in the health care bill have not kicked in yet. No one will know what the impact is for years.

I haven't seen a single Republican lawmaker openly apologize to the American Public nor to the Democratic lawmakers for the vandalism, racist comments and fanning the flames of hatred in rabid followers.

    March 25, 2010 at 10:08 pm |
  24. Mrs. Wilson

As a republican by marriage. I have to admit that this healthcare bill is something I can live with. The public option may have been to liberal. This is a good middle.

i genuinely hope "things" will calm down now.

the repeated threats and the accusations as to who is stirring things up has to stop!!

everyone needs to realize that any "problems" can be addressed as we go forward with health ins. reform.

liked the speech by Pres. Obama today.

Oh Sharon Hastings, the threats are horrid. What ugly people....probably miserable people who are looking for an excuse to strike out at someone, anyone. I'd watch out if I were their spouse or kids right now.

After ten's of millions of distorting anti-health care bill media advertisements by Big Medical corporations on behalf of the Republican talking points, it's no wonder as those distortions are 'corrected' the polls are rising. Meanwhile the Republican Party is sinking...

Democrats can be proud of their hard work. They've been reviled, abused and threatened. Many may not be re-elected, BUT, finally, we got politicians who put "people" before themselves.
