Health Care Reform Missing: Join the Live Chat

[cnn-photo-caption image=http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2009/images/01/02/liveblogfinal.copy.jpg]

Lawmakers have been putting off one health care fix for years and it's not part of the reform bill.  If something isn't done a large number of doctors could stop accepting a large number of patients.  We're keeping them honest. Plus,  the death threat made against the mayor of Juarez, Mexico that arrived in a bloody bag.

I don't think Palin or King are to blame for this. Everyone has associated Palin with her hunting skills in Alaska, and I think she has just played on that with no malice intent. Neither of these people would want any of their supporters making threats on people's lives.

Dems threatened? What about the President???????

I am frankly disgusted with the behavior of the GOP. Congressman King did not own up to his actions of inciting violence against a fellow public servant and a woman. The GOP are acting like bullies and children. When are they going to act like adults? Are they just going to act like sore losers and join the movement of violence and obstructionism because they didn't get their way? This behavior doesn't give me a lot of confidence in their leadership. It certainly is not a good use of my tax dollars for them to lead in political terrorism. This has go to stop and now!

i'd still like to know who writes palin's stuff - i wouldn't say she doesn't have a metaphorical bone in her body, but it just doesn't strike me as her writing style

    "Words" are very powerful!
The fact that Sarah Palin is now trying to trivialize them, when she was so hot before when others said "something", very two-faced!

This is a too greater country for us to go at each other necks. We all know that the health care reform is not perfect as of yet; however, it is a start for all of us to make it better, legally!

But I just dont understand how right wingers are sooo upset! What did they expect?? President Obama TRIED his best to get them to take a more active role and they didnt. They played the "no" game. They offered – "start over" – after a year of intense debate, they want to 'start over"??

  23. Janine from PA.

    Good evening AC 360;
These people who are so angry and violent should pack up and leave the country if they don't like it. Move to Cnada.Oh wait, there's universal health care up there. How about Great Britain? Oh wait the same, and gun laws that they don't want here. How about Germany? Oops governemnt health care there too. How about they act like civilised people and stop the violence?

It's a shame that grown men and women have to stoop to such childish levels. We learn this stuff in kindergarten...don't hit, don't call names, don't touch things that don't belong to you. Are these people serious? This should be so embarrasing for those who approve of this.

Making death threats is not the way we have term limits to vote these people out and thats the way it needs to be done .

This vandalism and threats are truly concerning.

The tea party and Some conservatives seem to have purposely stirred the "fringe" up in a very dangerous way.

Something seriously needs to be done. conservatives and dem's need to come forward together to show people that although they may disagree, civil discourse and debate is the approprate way to behave!!

  31. Kim- Ohio

I can't believe these people are getting threats. It is so ridiculous. Violence is not the way to get your voice heard.

Good evening everyone. It's good to be with all of you. Isn't this stuff awful? And scarry!! You know this fringe of right wingers in my opinion have never gotten over losing the presidency, and especially to Obama. They may indeed disagree with the bill in some areas but that doesn't account for all of the hatred and aggression. It's horrible.

I personally think that anyone who is supporting violence and encouraging it should be prosecuted, including the people who are making phone calls threatening people with death.

    March 24, 2010 at 10:04 pm |
  35. Sherri

It's really awful that these people are being threatened because they voted "yes." I'm sure if it was the other way around the republicans wouldn't wanna be treated like this.

Hi! It's great to see you on this Wednesday night.
–It's disappointing to hear of the vandalism and threats targeting Democrats. Resorting to violence over health care makes no sense.

Yikes, AC. This is out of control. The best way to express themselves would be go to the polls in Nov., not resort to violence.

I blame the media and republicans for brewing the hate. They spreaded lies about the bill causing people to react to what was already in them

Thanks for looking into the potential future problem of doctors not accepting Medicare patients. It's certainly a concern for my parents, aged 81 and 82, and will have to be dealt with as we baby boomers look ahead to joining the "elderly" ranks. This could end up being a sad - and alarmingly real - reality and needs to be talked about NOW.
