I was so happy that the health care reform passed, but does that mean in Nov election they can drop it? if Rep end up with more votes.
I also read an article that certain high income people will be charged 2 extra taxes.
The gov instead can add an extra tax by raising prices on cigarettes or alchol to make extra money for health care?
Just throwing ideas out there.

Paul is right. Either way, Democrats would take at least a short-term drop in poll numbers, maybe seats in the mid-terms but by passing this bill, they can more easily avoid the worst scenario losing the house. In a setting where Republicans have successfully put them on defence, they managed to pass a ground-breaking piece of legislation.

Health Care begins with birth and ends with death. We need physicals and vaccinations as we grow up. We will all use the system at some time in our lives. Lets support the reform and try to make it the best on the planet.

I agree!!!! Next stop... the Health Insurance industry and the way the doctors and hospitals bill.... like throwing darts at a board; No rhyme or reason for costs of procedures that vary from hospital to hospital.
Ted Kennedy is looking down smiling with this HCR victory...I wished he had lived to see this. He worked dilengently trying to get health care for everyone.
Margaret Moth...such a good lady.
Margaret Moth, larger than life, living a extraordinary life and she looked great even in the worse battle zones in the world. And no matter the danger brought a truthful image and vision of that conflict to the appreciative CNN viewers, RIP Margaret Gipsy Moth.
The fight is not over and the bill could use should fixes but, sitll have a long road ahead!

Hi Anderson,
I am 49 years old woman form Afghanistan and a single mother. I am working part time for one of California's school district and my hours are cut to only 2 hours per day. for part time clasified empolyees the state does not offer health insurance. Is this bill going to change any thing for people like me?

I am so grateful for all the people who fought for this bill! My hushand has alzheimer's disease and asthma and his medications are very expensive. This will help us survive on our retirement income. He is already in the donut hole for this year.
