Starting tonight at 7 p.m. ET join us here for the AC360° Academy Awards Live Blog. The winners, the losers, the debate over Best Supporting Kardashian…we’ve got your running commentary. And sure, considering all that’s going on in the world, the Oscars aren’t hugely important. But if you’re looking to get away from the bleak news-of-the-day for a few hours, then this blog is the place for you.
We should also point out that we’re not encouraging you to change the channel from CNN, but if you’re going to watch the Oscars anyway, you might as well watch them with us.
What makes me qualified to lead this live blog? Well, I once worked at a video store/tanning parlor. And I own Fletch on VHS.

I am ready for the Old Yeller.
Star Trek deserved those. 🙁 I have the CD of all the old Star Trek sounds, and MAN, did JJ Abrams and team ever improve on the blinking danger-Trapazoid.
The first ten minutes of Star Trek should have had both of these wrapped up. 🙁

Will never ever see the Exorcist... although have seen the stairs in DC. I was at a party, so it's okay.

Shoutouts to Rosemary's Baby & What Ever Happened to Baby Jane during the horror tribute – I love it.
Rosemary's Baby, to me ,is one of the creepiest and well written movies of all time.

Whose a bigger star? Steve Martin or Alec Baldwin... Steve is definitely rocking tonight. Steve is more of a legend, but more 20 somethings probably know who Alec is.
There's no enthusiasm or excitement in the audience. They all seem slow to react, reluctant to show any emotion even to applaud. Anyone else picking up on that?
