Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele on Thursday condemned a now-public internal party document that mocks GOP donors, but he would not say if disciplinary action is being taken against the official who created the presentation.
The powerpoint presentation, leaked to Politico on Wednesday, described high-level Republican donors as "ego-driven" and claimed they could be enticed with "tchochkes." The document included a slide – titled "The Evil Empire" – with cartoonish images depicting President Obama as the Joker, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi as Cruella DeVille and Harry Reid as Scooby Doo. Steele called the pictures "unfortunate."

why is this a surprise, the republicans have been doing crap like this since president obama has been in office, i am curious to know where these people were for the eight years of bush the biggest threat to this great country is not ben laden or the taliban but the people trhat wr\ere elected to serve our country , i think a good idea would be for the american people to fire everyone of the republican senators and about half of the democrats
"Tchochkes"? Like GOP coffee mugs? Whatever works.
The expression "ego-driven" is value-free when read without context. Many a "progressive" espouses his/her positions largely because they garner social approval.
As far as "cartoonish" goes, that would describe the typical "progressive's" mental portrait of anyone who isn't down with some vital aspect of modernism.
That being said, Steele is a bit cartoonish in his own way.
The leak was unfortunate for the GOP but I have to question if the material is how they really see their supporters. I mean, who goes to the trouble of a 72 page presentation if he/she wasn't serious about what they were putting together??
