Heated partisan exchanges and in-depth policy discussions at the bipartisan health care summit on Thursday are unlikely to sway both parties in finding common ground, analysts said as the summit was going on.
One said the summit makes an argument against televising hearings. Another said it will reinforce doubts about whether Washington can resolve the health care impasse.
"I think it's reasonable to expect that an exchange like this is not going to change the public's skepticism about the way Washington works," said Michael Murakami, a visiting professor of government at Georgetown University.

This goes beyond the stunt, it was a joke, only not to many people are laughing at this point.
What if the Federal Govt. pressure to force all Americans to purchase hyper-expensive health insurance policy's and contracts is simply a falsehood brought upon Americans by the western health care lobbyists to prop up the thousands of western health care hospitals operating in the red and facing bankruptcy in the near future?
Concerning today's broadcast of the Health Care Summit, I have this to say. I'm from Texas and was a long time Republican, but after watching the Health Care Summit today, I am switching to the Democratic party. The Republicans displayed a mutually arrogance, none concern for the health care bill, and for the people who need insurance. I think the Republicans represented poorly as a political party. My wife is 62, had worked for 22 years for an aerospace company and was laid off last year. Now she has a job with a company that does not offer health insurance. Because of her health she needs to get check ups and prescription. And to top it off with the Republicans are saying that most people are against the bill, well I'm for the bill and I hope most Americans speak up for their self.
