Tonight we're keeping Toyota honest. Will the recall actually fix the car troubles? Plus, Sen. Harry Reid is pledging to bypass GOP opposition and pass a health care bill. We've got the raw politics. We're also following the fate of the entire teaching staff at a Rhode Island high school where the superintendent wants to issue pink slips.

Here are some of them:
1) Keep it short (we don't have time to read a "book")
2) Don't write in ALL CAPS (there's no need to yell)
3) Use your real name (first name only is fine)
4) No links
5) Watch your language (keep it G-rated; PG at worst - and that includes $#&*)
Anderson Cooper goes beyond the headlines to tell stories from many points of view, so you can make up your own mind about the news. Tune in weeknights at 8 and 10 ET on CNN.

Yeah for the Vancouver Olympics!!!! Got to see the Men’s Giant Slalom today – live – and ski at our very beautiful resort Whistler-Blackcomb.
Rich has said it best.
In my opinion, teachers are not paid enough. Stop focusing on what their salary is. That's NOT the issue. The issue should be is how Gallo and the teachers should come up with a curriculum that will help educate these students and get their families involved, if possible. In a community like CF, it's going to be very difficult. Firing the whole staff is not the answer.
Its really sad that rehab is so popular now, it seems to be the fix for everything except for the flu.
Those asian karp are mean little brats and Rick Sanchez is a very gutsy man for volunteering for being shot with the tazers!

@ Gary
I agree with you - most of the USA does - so how come the Justices voted to let the big companies legally put even more money into our elections? I just don't understand -
Women's downhill had some serious but without any injury, multiple face-plants, I laughed so hard, especially after they got up and walked away unhurt.

jessica – you are always so full of energy – great job tonight!
Good evening! Great show as always. A lot of stuff going on tonight. 80 teachers with pink slips for Central Falls is a lot despite good intentions of boosting performance. One can't help but wonder if there was a comprehensive analysis to the different variables that may cause poor performance of the school and the students without depriving livelihood from numerous teacher.
As for Haiti, I believe we need to continue talking about it to remind people that they still need help. Most of the time, the public's attention is at its peak when the calamity strikes but gets shelved somewhere as time passes by.
HCR should spell quality. The best thing to be done in writing America's history.
Have a great night!
If a school can provide a good edcuation most parents that teach would prefer to have their children attend the school bcuz they will get good education and are close by... If those teachers are sending their kids to other schools (private or charter) that would implicate that the teachers don't really even believe in the education they are providing CFstudents...
48% graduation rate, 7% math proficieny.... enough said. If this was an airline company and only 48% of the passengers actually got to their destination would we be giving the pilots a raise??? I agree with the comments above administration should be held accountable as well.
Good night everyone!
I agree with Ali Velshi and Peter Beinart about the effect of the President being able to communicate Health Care Reform legislation better to the public.
Harry Reid suddenly playing hardball is a surprise. Though maybe the President doesn't want to go all soft.
If Republicans offered some 200 plus amendments to this legislation why isn' there more republican support.
A happy ending yes. Some very kindhearted and courageous women looking after those children.
@J. Carmichael
Right on! Other countries have made the health care system function... why can't we get on the bangwagon? Bipartisonship needs to make a comeback... if it was ever really there at all aside from national disasters. It is so sad that we can never get on the same page until something drastic happens.
I applaud the Haiti government for trying to protect the kids but I think they are making a mistake for releasing these fake missionaries.
Gary .....great story! those kids are so cute!
@Mike
You are Right! Reid and Pelosi are a thorn in the side of Obama and many of the people too.
