Anderson, on behalf of the haitian people, I would like to thank you for everything you're doing in Haiti.
No words can express our gratitude. You and all the crews of Cnn are amazing people.
I heard that it rained this morning in Haiti. Please let us know how the people cope with the situation they're in.
    Thanks
    God bless you all.

It's so wild to hear AC and Sanjay talking about sophisticated heart treatments while in Haiti, where even the most basic services are still scarce!

So true...I think that Clintons father passed away from heart disease 2 months before he was born.

Those statistics are rather frightening....the number of ppl who die each day from heart disease, etc., etc.

Good evening Anderson, Isabel, Emily, Starr, everyone. Wishing President Clinton a stong recovery. But a double stent is a serious procedure and he should take it easy. I don't see how being UN envoy to Haiti after this quake is like regularly going back to work on Monday. That's a big job for anyone. Someone needs to do that on an interim basis now.

    @ Emily

You are too funny. I do not know if helping with a wedding would be relaxing! Usually it is very stressful... 🙂

President Clinton's heart just keeps on ticking. Proof that you can't keep a good man down.

The children in Haiti should be helped as much as possible within their own world...If the parents were promised they could see their children anytime they wanted to, how were they supposed to get to them? That sounded like a false promise to me.

    February 11, 2010 at 10:10 pm |
  17. Casey Jones - Palm Springs, CA

As I've said before, SOMEONE we all know really wants kids and seems rather natural at it.

I agree with you, Debbie....I have so respected Candy Crowley for a good while now. Very happy for her now!

    @Casey,
I think that it sounds like Clinton is in "excellent" health given that he does have heart disease....it is "the silent killer" and we have lost so many great people from it! It sounds like Clinton has kept his weight down, cholesterol, etc.

  22. Megan Dresslar - Shoreline, WA

He will go home tomorrow, Right now, he is still resting comfortable at hospital, Bloggers! 🙂

Wishing former President Bill Clinton quick recuperation!

"The legal way to help Haiti's children" – that is in the best interest of the children and not taking them away where they lost their legal existence.

  24. Cessy-Chicago

There's anything that will stop President Clinton from doing what he's good at...and that is reaching out to people who are in need. He has a BIG heart!

    February 11, 2010 at 10:06 pm |
  25. Dodie, Irvine CA

Hi! It's great to see you from Haiti.
I hope Fmr. Pres. Clinton recovers quickly. It must be somewhat of a strain to keep up the pace he has, even if accustomed to it.

The woman who leads the missionary group just does not 'ring true' for me, seems too concerned with her own image of angelic rescuer.... I do wonder what will happen now.

Is it just me or does it seem ridiculous for someone to say President Clinton is in excellent health when he's having issues with his heart?

    February 11, 2010 at 10:04 pm |
  37. Milan, Berlin,Germany

Personally I don't like President Clinton, but I hope he gets well fastly. Apparently it's not that serious though, if I got the doctor right.

I think if they give these 10 Americans bail, they will never come back for trial or sentencing if they are found guilty. The Haitian government is bending to the will of the US since they need aid. What a major slap to the face for the people of that country. If a group of Haitians pulled a stunt like trying to take 10 Americans out of the country, the justice dept and the public would crucify them. God help the people of Haiti.
