We have breaking news on the 10 Americans charged with kidnapping in Haiti. Plus, raw politics from Tennessee where the Tea Party convention is underway. We're also saying good-bye to two Pandas, now headed back to China.

    @Emily They would need to get much more organized before that happens. If it does it would not take very long before its like the Dem and Rep party's were it's more important to get reelected than to do what the people want.

    Good show tonight, its heartening to see the more in-depth reporting on the possible motives of the 10 child kidnappers in jail in Haiti.

    Anderson thank you for your great reporting...You shed a lot of light on the story about the missionaries in Haiti. The fact that most of them were recruited at church only 48 hours before traviling to Haiti tells me that they probably had very good intentions but the leader of the group Laura sounds crazy and desperate. I pray that the 9 others get released.

    @Mike, formerly from Syracuse,
    I agree with you totally. There are so many great corporations that we should take a lot of pride in. And they and their employees certainly are responsible for the majority of tax revenues.

    Let's not forget that Obama has increased government spending in every area. He's making deficits much worse. Sure he inherited a deficit, but that doesn't allow him to increase spending when he should be cutting.

    @ A. Smith-

    No problem, I was watching a whole segment earlier on Campbell Brown. It's interesting to keep hearing how many tea partiers could not make it to the convention because of the cost. The people putting this on should be more encompassing of their fellow members!

    Hi Anderson & Fellow Bloggers,

    Either these so-called "missionaries" are incredibly foolish or they are not being truthful (perhaps both). I cannot imagine that they would have gone to Haiti with the clear intention of taking children out of the country without proper planning. Additionally, as reported, Laura had been advised about obtaining the required documentation. One can only conclude that this was premeditated and that the intention of the organizer(s) was, in fact, to break the law.

    Whatever the intentions of these "missionaries," the result is the same-they jeopardized the well-being of the children and attempted to take advantage of others' misfortune.

    Hi all,
    Have I completly missed something ABOUT the baptist helping Haitian children. HOW is it kidnapping if the parents gave their permission for their children to go with teh americans. What is the evidence that suggest they had intentions to sale or adopt out or transport any of these 33 to America? What exactly caused the angle of this coverage? please HELP me understandf this. NO matter if they are innocent or guilty the Hatian and US governments should not allowed them to be manhandled and be pushed by a officer manipulating your face while trying to walk.

    Panda's are cute critters, as are Sun Bears. But like all bears they can be very hard core if excited or threatened which tourists and city dwellers often do not realize.
