I would like to thank you for the tremendous coverage of the tragedy in Haiti. Your transparency has shed light on many issues in Haiti. While there are other Networks and journalists trying to embed unfounded and fragmented information about Haiti in our children' minds, you remain fair , concerned and logical.
Keep up the good work.
I have watched CNN coverage of the Haiti disaster since the beginning of coverage the day after the earthquake. Anderson Cooper and Sanjay Gupta have done an excellent job. Now that the discussion is changing from the disaster and its victims to how the funds raised will be spent, I suggest that everyone concerned check out the website of the Institute for Liberty and Democracy at ild.org.pe. This organization was founded several years ago by an economist, Hernando de Soto from Lima, Peru. After spending many years completing his analysis of the causes of poverty in Lima, 23 years ago he published a book on his findings, "The Other Path." (The book has been updated several times.) He then founded ILD and proceded to apply his approach to developing countries. On the website under "What we do" is an analysis of Haiti's economic development status BEFORE the earthquake. If we want our dollars to ensure that Haiti's people have a prosperous future, it seems to me that we need to invest in Mr. De Soto's approach. Please check out the website and do a story on De Soto and how his approach could benefit the people of Haiti.
I was born in Haiti; I watched CNN daily during this time of crisis in my homeland. I am thankful and humble by what A. Cooper, Dr. S. Gupta, G.Tuchman and the rest of the team are doing during the continuous report about Haiti. I feel like I am there. You guys are not just journalists; you have compassion and love in your heart. The devastation caused by the earthquake is horrible; but in the mist of my pain, I can see throught your 24/7 report how well the world is responding. I am overwhelmed with gratitude. Has anyone answered the pleas of the American parents who's children could be alive but trapped in the Hotel Montana? I've seen the gut-wrenching interviews with one of the fathers and his pleas for rescue teams to go to the Montana but no follow-up by CNN.
I know this may sound crazy but I can't get the story of the little 5 year old boy who was found after 8 days with out food or water by his uncles. Would it be possible for CNN to follow up with the boy periodically so we as viewers will know he is ok. It just breaks my heart that he survived only to find out he no longer has a mom or dad. Being a mother of three young children, I just want to know that they find a home for this child especially after being such a strong survivor.
Thanks Anderson for telling these stories..they have helped raised millions of dollars and lets all pray that the money gets to the orphans so that a safe haven can be built for these kids while they wait to reconnect with their families or adoptions can be arranged.

Anderson, keep up the great work and coverage! I have not heard a single word in regards to American deaths and casualties as a result of the earthquake. Are there any statistics available yet?
There have been several facebook posts and other social commentaries on TV and the Internet stating that we should be taking care of our own homeless instead of helping Haiti. To all that, this is all I have to say:
Our homeless have access to clean drinking water, a network of shelters, emergency room access, and a large network of resources to help them get back on their feet if they choose to do that. The Haitian homeless have nothing. 38% of those homeless are children. Yes, we do have some issues to address here in our country, but let's not downplay the need for us to help in Haiti. Some of our homeless have even been collecting supplies for Haiti if that says anything. Even our homeless know there are people in the world with greater needs.
Anderson, you are doing a good job asking tough questions. Who is making the decision about who can land in the airport and who can't!
