Candles, looters, aren't these people wanting light for the darkness, seeing a shop owner removing food, food people need, and taking it away. Is there a fine line of humanity when desperation turns a crowd into a frenzy that becomes dangerous in the sign of a growing eruption embedded in the Haitian history.

Chavez speaks out for the US to send aide not troops, what has Chavez done? Yet, troops on the ground may cause even greater danger in the after shocks.

I applaud your work and appreciate you 'calling out' of the local gov. and administration..to me, only by demanding responsibility will it come forth-or certainly be bypassed..Is there any effort to organize the locals to work with the relief efforts?Would you address the sanitation situation....i can't help thinking of the disease potential with no proper facilities....finally, thank you for staying and staying with this impossible sadness

I feel very sad that some of these people in Haiti are looting all they can, but unfortunately it is not a reason to stop helping the Haitian people. This is desperation. May God bless us all for trying

I'm glad to see the US military is now using the Presidential Palace grounds as I had Suggested! Perfect Staging area for setting up various operations. Setting up Security first, then Tents filled with medical supplies, food and water. Even communications to the outside world! Heavy Equipment also needs to be brought in to begin clearing the roads! I am so proud of my Country and those soldiers and sailers doing a great job!

200,000 people dead and thousands injured and no food or shelter, material things should be of least concern.

Survival of the fittest.... Can you blame them? If I was a betting women I would say that any government official including the President of Haiti has fled the Island. Where are all the military support? Hello?? Police?? someone giving any direction to the Haitian people at all? So frustrating to watch this. 🙁

Shooting in the air to discourage the looting? Really?!
Those bullets do come back down somewhere else. I just hope no other innocent lives are lost as a result. In a disaster like this, you're not going to be able to stop the looting. Just take it as a loss. These people have no other options right now until the help and supplies get to their areas. It's no different than having a group of people trapped and them eating whatever around to survive. Right now, these people are trapped!!!

Anderson Cooper, both you and Sanjay Gupta as well as the CNN crew there with you all deserve some kind of award.

I have watched both you and Sanjay over the course of 7days, report from Haiti the travesty taking place there. The both of you have displayed such courage and diplomacy and concern for the plight of the haitians, that it is admirable to say the least.

Anderson I heard the both of you discussing today the factthe Haitian government isn't doing anything for the people etc.I was wondering if the reason that no haitian government officials are takin on a greater role to help its people is maybe because the majority of them are deceased. Maybe the movers and shakers of Haiti are amongst the dead. And there really isn't enough government officials

90% of this looting's is for Food and Hunger and not to be millionaire. Why don't security force take control of leftovers from grounded Super Markets and distributes till the aid arrives. Anyhow it's going to be garbage or destroyed if 1-2 heavy rains follows earthquake.
