Anderson, no one can really understand the scope of what you are experiencing. I commend you on your bravery and instinct to help out a fellow man. Without your coverage over the past few days, the world would not know how horrific the situation is. My thoughts are with you and may you and your crew return safely home.
I am so proud of Anderson Cooper in Haiti. He has put himself in harms way, but more importantly he saved that young boy from a gang.
Anderson, stay safe and please some back to the US, because we all need you here.
May God Bless you.
Mary
In my opinion, looting would be non-survival items taken for profit as well as taking items to sale for basic survival in the face of the circumstances the people of Haiti face. It is outrageous that people turn on themselves in these circumstances.
Will someone please define looting for me, because if America had a disaster such as this, and my family and I were starving, and there was a store full of bread, meat and water, I would be the first one to break the window to feed my loved ones and myself. Why does the media portray this in a negative way when they know these people are starving. I only pray we (AMERICA) never have to find out what we'd do in a crisis like this.
I saw Mr. Cooper pick up a young man that was bleeding and take him to safety. Not everybody would do this. Thank you Mr, Cooper you are a good human being. God bless you always.
From Puerto Rico.
Anderson, this is my first blog posting ever. I just wanted to say how proud I am to call you a fellow American. Not only is your journalism coverage of the Haiti Crisis top notch, so is you compassion. I saw the video clip of you helping a young boy, bleeding from his head, you are a true hero Mr. Cooper.
Looting mattresses from a store should be perfectly acceptable in this time.
How does one tell the difference between looting and survival? One nes clip showed Haitians taking mattresses out of a destroyed building-considering the situation is that really looting?
