Watching the coverage of this event on CNN is heart-wrenching. We know that the people of Haiti will suffer tremendously for years to come, but I can't help wondering about the psychological impact on the reporters themselves. They cannot witness this scale of suffering without being personally affected. Is counseling provided for them? I hope so.

Though I feel sorry for the people of Haiti. It has become increasingly aggravating to see UN officials pull doctors away from hospitals filled with injured and dying people. Now, we're being told not to "text donations" because it takes toolong for the money to get to the people. I have an idea, How about asking corporate americia and the big money makers on wallstreet to put up some funds NOW. Why should everyday americans, who are struggling now as it is, to put up the funds????

I know this is probably trivial to you, and it hit me this morning, I have noticed through watching CNN, that there are no animals. I know these people had to have had pets, livestock, etc. Where are they??? Did they also "high tail it out of there" like in Indonesia?

As I watch this footage and softly weep, safe at home surrounded by so many unnecessary comforts, it sears into my heart even deeper the reality we have so much in America and the world is far larger than my daily routine.

Thank you, Mr. Cooper and Team
