    Anderson, excellent interview with Michelle Rhee. A segment on education around the country would be very interesting and informative. Hopefully, the most serious journalist/anchor will give us the opportunity to assess what is going on in the education system and "what is next."

    Teachers have hours that come home with them, grading papers, confering with parents, after school activities and weekend activities – they often eat lunch while working..it's alot more work and hours than often thought. Need more parent support in u.s. too and better student attitude.
    P.S. Keep summer break

    It was nice to hear about change in the Education system. The students should have motivation to do well in education and also the parents should help their kids to do well.
    Accountability is not only for the teachers but should also be for the students. Only then primary, elementary and secondary education will be in par with other countries.

    I'm surprised the night club isn't paying the White House Crashers $5000 to stay away. The Crashers don't exactly fit the demographic of the clubbers at that particular club.

    don't the party crashers have some bills to pay? for all anyone knows, they begged and cajoled the invite to appear rather than being invited.

    Let's face it we are not going to get rid of Al Qaeda & we cannot go to war with every country that harbors Al Qaeda. We should never have gone to war in Iraq. Hope for the best and expect the worst.

    Even though the charter school has union teachers the union doesn't want the high school converting. It is appalling and eye opening to see the entitlement mentality of the union thugs at the expense of the children. The children really are hostages in most school districts.

    When are we going to hold parents accountable for their children's education? After all, they (parents) are a child's first teacher.

    To the education lady, the real problem in schools are kids having too many distractions. They don't want to study and the parents are not encouraging them to learn.

    Its funny how one minute a teacher is shaping tomorrow and the next minute we're the root of all evil; I speak for my family and profession when I say education starts at home; you would not even believe how little some parents are involved in their children's lives.

    you can't reshape education unless you can reshape how society looks at the responsibility of it-teachers are responsible in the classroom; parents & students are at home

    @Sabrina in Los Angeles,

    It seems like the hoax is on us again with the Salahi's getting paid(!) to attend a party, and the Heenee family is something else....
    I sure that neither of them get a reality TV show!
