Tonight on 360°, crunch time for Pres. Obama. He's on his way to Copenhagen where there's no guarantee a deal will be signed to climate change policy. Plus, there's the fight on Capitol Hill over health care reform. We've got the raw politics. And, a police chief and two of his officers accused of covering-up a hate crime.
Scroll down to join the live chat during the program. It's your chance to share your thoughts on tonight's headlines. Keep in mind, you have a better chance of having your comment get past our moderators if you follow our rules.
Here are some of them:
1) Keep it short (we don't have time to read a "book")
2) Don't write in ALL CAPS (there's no need to yell)
3) Use your real name (first name only is fine)
4) No links
5) Watch your language (keep it G-rated; PG at worst - and that includes $#&*)
Anderson Cooper goes beyond the headlines to tell stories from many points of view, so you can make up your own mind about the news. Tune in weeknights at 8 and 10 ET on CNN.

I beat Anderson on the challenge – I think the only prize though is a self applied pat on the back!!
Hmmmm, Anderson even dissed himself after the lightning round. Awesome.
Very amusing.
Good job, Anderson
Have a wonderful night!
This challenge is really easy.
I did challenge with Anderson for test!!!!!!!! It is so fun to answer!!!!! I do love that game!!!! Awwww!!!!!! I do love Anderson to play game challenge!!! 🙂 But Anderson is best answer, LOL! 🙂
That's hilarious – where is Indiana? Very funny.
Erica on the challenge. I do great until I get to moving letters around, then I lose valuable minutes.
Regis will kill you for not knowing that one! haha
1997
i just pulled up the screen. It looks like a fun game. Will give it a try after the show
Burlesconi
Didn't Wolf get destroyed in Jeopardy? I would be reluctant to ask him for assistance.
Good for you Erica! This quiz looks like fun. And we all know how competetive he is.
I want to see that Anderson Cooper guy
This looks like fun!
Just stopped by to "say" hello..have fun bloggers!
@charlie,
Yes, I think so, however, she died before anything could be done, or before it could be filed. She married into a very prominent family there from the sounds of it.
How do we know that Anderson doesn't have a cheat sheet?
Are these questions going to be like celebrity Jeopardy or are they going to be challenging?
Hi Anderson and Erica.
I am glad see both of you, Yes Anderson, I had long all day at work. Yikes!!!!
Erica,
Happy see you...... We missed you last night.. 🙂
Good Evening Everyone 😉
That trial was not even a fair trial! I can't believe those murders were sentenced to only 6months-23months in prison!
Is there a prize for beating Anderson?
Was there a charge of kidnapping regarding when the mother travelled to Brazil with her son?
"Hate Crime Cover-Up" Story is very disturbing.
hope that you keep following that when it moves on...
Disturbing is certainly an apt word to describe the incident in PA.
No matter how any of us feel about illegal immigratioin, Murder is Not the answer!
I predict that somebody in law enforcement in this small town will be going "up the river."
Corrupt police officers should be sentenced with special circumstances.
Typically sentencing with special circumstances is 3x the prison term and 3x the fines.
I saw Soledad's piece some time ago and I'm incredibly glad that the Feds have decided to intervene. So very necessary.
I hope that his fiance finally sees justice for the loss of the father of her children.
The mother took Sean to Brazil 5 years ago for vacation and never returned. David Goldman has been fighting since they never came back in the Brazilian court system under the Hague Convention. It is tragic how the courts there don't upon international law and the US needs HR 3240 (give POTUS and SOS more tools to deal with international child abduction) and HR 2702 (economic sanctions, suspend GSP).
@ Saad Jihad Muhammad,
That is a great story of yours!
@Michael Ware, you are more and more outstanding!
What you did, thanks from me too.
That was really good of you! 😀
The "hate crimes" seems absolutely like double jeapordy.
My heart goes to Cincinnati Ohio Begals Chris Henry,
I am glad David got (custody) his son backc...... Wow! I am surprised he survied 311 days hostage in Iran.... He is amazing...... Thanks Michael Ware for interview him. 🙂
hate crime or not, a man was murdered and the penalty has to fit the crime, i have seen people get locked away for a lot longer for lesser crimes.... very interesting story
Why would murderers get only two years?
Is a "jury of his peers," an all white jury? How is it not?
Under international treaty between US and Brazil, the boy is granted dual citizenship when he was born. It seems like a standard court routine to see documents to grant custody to mr goldman. and This doesn't have to with Rio being the host or Olympic summer game......totally irrevent!
@A. Smith – I think there is definitely more to Chris Henry's death than we are being told. The Charlotte police are being very tight-lipped on the story. There are too many questions that no one has answered yet.
Police officers breaking the law? Noooo! not possible. Give me a break.
I would like to say thank you to you for your work and to Mr. Michael Ware.
i was in An-Najaf during the battle in the sand storms in 2003. CNN had a Humvee rolling live footage. I had not spoken with my wife in over 4 months prior to the invasion, it was a coincidence that Mr. Ware came through my checkpoint, I gave him my name and home telephone number and asked if he would call my wife to say "I saw your husband and he and the unit is okay". Amazingly, he did. I have never had the opportunity to say thank you. Thank You!!! Please pass this message.
If someone kidnapped my son I would result to violence, most definitely.
Sara thought she'd have some down time and be low key, did'nt work should have got a new hat. Or maybe she figured it would draw more attention to her, go figure.
@Sharon Hastings thank you for your reply.
I agree with you very much. I used to work for ins. co.s and i know some of what they do now and can only make an educated guess at what they will do given no competition for healthcare policies.
And may i say, i am disgusted with many of our elected representatives. Some of them have shown that they have no care for American citizens, only their egos and/or belief systems (which affects all of us).
@Casey Jones – Palm Springs, CA, The worst part is that the United States is willing to look the other way all this time because it doesn't want to step on any toes in Brazil.
"Give the man back his son!" The two weeks were up five years ago!
I think if the child is showing a level of maturity for his age then he should have a say in who raises him. He shouldn't be ignored because of his tender years.
It seems like the media has not looked at both sides of the Goldman custody situation. The pictures of Mr. Goldman with his son are touching. I'm sure the stepfather also has some nice pictures. The child's mother died in child birth. Does the little boy have a brother or sister? How do you think a 9 year old feels about leaving his sibling behind in Brazil? A biological sibling.
If the Goldman case was happening in a foreign country the US would have turned that child over in a NY minute!
Where is the state department? am I wrong? isn't the boy a US citizen? he was born here and why is this being allowed for going on 5 years....
@Casey Jones – Palm Springs, CA,
"I fear that Shawn and his father won't see each other until Shawn is grown-up and on his own."
That's an awful thought, however, I can see why you would think that.
I hope not however, for both of their sakes.
