Tonight on 360°, the photo the Secret Service must hate to see. It shows President Obama face-to-face with the White House party crashers. Plus, the latest on Tiger Woods' SUV accident. Why his wife used a golf club in the incident and why police faced when they got on the scene. Plus, meet the CNN Hero of the Year.

    Hi,
The point is that they are insane and the president at risk. they could do anything at that time.
you see, the earlier some guys like the lawyer stop making excuses for such events the better. next time someone will try something.
it's scary how the people are protecting the president of USA and visiting presidents. look! if am a president visiting USA from now im gonna be very careful

    Sherwayne,
Tiger Woods is doing alright at least now, He wasn't hurt at all.... just minor injury his face.

This event is extremely serious! The crashers should be detained and questioined until all the details of thier illegal action are revealed! The secret service agents should be fired and the security procedures for future White House events upgraded!

    Another great Gary Tuchman report.

Glad to know Tiger Woods is okay...although semi-concious is not necessarily a good sign (concussion at least).

    Smart wife!
My guess, he swerved to avoid an animal (i hope).

    He'll compete this coming tournament.

Lisa is flat out wrong. If these people broke a law to get in, they should be prosecuted. This is a very serious matter, not to prosecute would send all the wrong signals. There are separate laws to deal with what they do when they are inside. It is immaterial if they didn't break any of those laws and that should have no bearing on whether or not to prosecute for any laws they broke to get in.

It's not a crime to greet the president. But I think someone in the White House helped them to get in.
Good to hear that Tiger is doing fine.

How fitting, Tiger Wood's Wife broke through the window of his car with a golf club.

  9. Joshua

I don't think you can charge them with any kind of crime unless they have solid evidence of the party crashers actually did lie to the security staff. O.o

Could it be the make-up artist played a role? He's been there before...just a thought...

Very serious crime for couple. We don't acceptable their behavior at all... I agree with all of you.

I heard though that there are last minute invitations to state dinners sometimes. Is that true?

It would be impolite not to note how stunning and well connected Mrs. Salahi is.

I do not agree with the lawyer on the show either. I understand they did not carry anything, but they could have or it could have been someone else with intentions of harming the president or the indian Prime Minister.

The couple brought their own camera crew??? That's nuts.

The secret service and White House staff should have been very suspecious of that alone.

@Larissa-i thought about the same thing. that perhaps this "stunt" was created to test or point out how lax security has been.

I also believe that the press should back off this story a little bit, until facts are in so we know exactly what happened. Broadcasting to the entire globe that the White House may be vulnerable is scary.

    Hello Erica,

I really enjoy it when you host the show – I love Anderson, also. My comment is regarding the couple who crashed the State Dinner. Because of the message it sends to the World this is a treasonous type of action and should hold some repercussion for this couple. The only good aspect is it should really have shaken up the management and practices of the Secret Service. It is embarrassing to me, as a US Citizen. And I dislike that everything is so public. Why do we air our dirty laundry in public?

I dont think that the party crasher scandal is that bad. The couple didnt even do anything. I could understand if they did something wrong but they didnt.

and also my prayers go to Tiger Woods

I think these two State Dinner Crashers need to be prosecuted to the highest degree. The government of India trusted the United States with the security of their Prime Minister. Our government failed the Prime Minister’s safety. These two people could have turned the world on its ear had an attack occurred on either leader. I do not find it at all amusing or trite; I hope they bitch-slap these two idiots in the courts; a little time in a Federal Prison do them good.

Tiger Woods was driving a Cadillac which is equipped with OnStar which is activated when there is an accident and alerts the police if the driver doesn't respond. Perhaps OnStar called 911. Media reports say he was in and out of consciousness but his wife broke the rear window to get him out. How did she get him out and how long did it take the police to get there? He was on the road when police arrived. Timelimes don't make sense. Glad he was not seriously hurt.

The focus of the reporting should be on the lax security, not on the couple who pulled this stunt to get the coverage you are providing.

    Two words: Publicity Stunt

I guess the party crashers had no idea what their consequences are ganna be regarding to their visit to the White House... Or else it's quite a good joke, like the balloon boy scandal ahah..

    November 27, 2009 at 10:16 pm |
  24. Antoinette

It was easier for them to gain entry to the White House than persons getting through TSA security at the airports! Seriously this is scary and unacceptable.

Hello and happy Black Friday to u all, I am just shocked by the White House Crashers. The Secret service absolutely dropped the ball, It could have been absolutely anyone. So many things could have gone wrong and it was just by simple chance that nothing do. How could Lisa even say no harm, no foul. Seriously!!! 4 all we know they could be doing this as a cover of something more seriously. I kno i'm jumping the broom here but this is CRAZY!!!!!!

    November 27, 2009 at 10:16 pm |
  26. Megan Dresslar - Shoreline, WA

    @Sharon,
Yes, I am also so embarrassment the couple weren't invited or crashed into white house.. That is so outrage for security to allow in without knowledge their policy, I think Security or Secret Service will be fired their job from White House. Yup, They made mistake doing something so worst thing to do. Unbelieve!

  27. Lisa

I feel they should be made an example of. Who said they did not have an alterior motive. What makes people think they didn't want to see if they could get away with it and later plan to do something? Unfortunately, today's society would have responded in a more forcefull manner if they were of a darker skin color.

  28. Larissa

hi, about the party crashers. how do we know that the crashers weren't hired by someone inside of the government that was trying to make a point to the secret service? if they where, how would they explain that to the press? i'd be easier to let the press drag it out than to explain it all. Just an Idea

    November 27, 2009 at 10:15 pm |
  29. Karolynn

Yes....terribly embarassing for the secret service to have "overlooked" the party crasher....but what kind of people even think of doing something like that????..What kind of impression are we sending the younger generations when someone can just walk into a White House party like that??? And what do you think other countries are going to think of such a mistake? Is no place safe anymore?

It is INSANE that this couple could get that close to the President of the United States. As someone who voted for our current president, I now have major concerns about the ability of the Secret Service to protect him as they should. This was a serious breach of national security and should be treated as such. This is pathetic and quite telling...terrorists are watching.

Good evening Erica & Team 360, hope you all had a great Thanksgiving.

Hello fellow bloggers, hope your thanksgiving was terrific too.

I agree with the first panel discussion. The security breach is very serious and the secret service defintely need to step up their game!

However, i don't know what you can charge this couple with?

About these party crashers. how did this happen?? i mean what is the deal with these secret service guys! thank goodness they did not have motives other than just a shot at 15 minutes of fame! step it up guys, totally unexceptable..

    November 27, 2009 at 10:14 pm |
  34. Ed

This is a serious security breach, and these people don't know the implications of their actions. This is a federal security breach at the highest level. They should recieve federal trespassing charges, and I am sure that is what we will see in the near future.

    November 27, 2009 at 10:13 pm |
  35. Maria

I think this is a dry run for copycats to use this opportunity to harm the president. We should not let this couple get a pat on the back, what kind of message are we sending to excussed this behavoir.

    November 27, 2009 at 10:13 pm |
  36. Liz Ann Falcone

The Secret Service personnel who let this couple in should be FIRED and that couple should be ARRESTED. I don't agree with the lawyer on CNN tonight who stated that they only just crashed a party...this is not just a party down the street. This is the WHITE HOUSE. IT is outrageous. Send them to Jail.

    November 27, 2009 at 10:12 pm |
  37. Cody Ham

Prolonged coverage of the White House Party Crashers seems dangerous. If something like this happens at the White House it should not be publicized to the whole world. Besides, there are much more pressing issues in the world right now.

  39. David, Indiana

Good evening Erica, Randi Kaye, Isabel, everyone. Good evening Megan, nice to see you again.

Yes it's serious. Maybe they didn't steal anything or intend anyone any harm, but if they did breach White House security that's a major violation. Why though the back and forth about the Salahi's have an invitation? That should bequickly ascertainable.

    November 27, 2009 at 10:12 pm |
  40. Sridevi

This is a serious issue. The leaders of two countries I love could have been in danger. They should face criminal charges.

    this is just crazy.

    November 27, 2009 at 10:11 pm |
  43. Suzanne Burke

Keep it in perspective, they were clearly invited as they were dressed appropriately for the party and behaved as you would have expected from an invited guest.
Its not like that reporter in the UK that gate crashed Prince Harrys party and various other Royal events.

    Hi Erica! Happy Friday!

Did we get Bin Laden yet? No? Then let the party crashers go after interviewing them. Find out how they got in and make the necessary security tweaks.

  45. Sharon Hastings

Good evening Erica and happy Black Friday everyone. What an embarrassment for the White House and it is such a compelling story. I think it will be a mistake to drag these people through the courts or whatever. It just draws more attention to their own mistakes. The Secret Service should let their own heads roll.

    November 27, 2009 at 10:08 pm |
  46. Cynthia, NC

Good evening, all. Still a lot of questions concerning the party crashers. I don't know if they were gutsy.....or just plain stupid.

I am glad to hear Tiger wasn't seriously injured in his car accident.
