Live Blog from the Anchor Desk 11/27/09

Tonight on 360°, the photo the Secret Service must hate to see. It shows President Obama face-to-face with the White House party crashers. Plus, the latest on Tiger Woods' SUV accident. Why his wife used a golf club in the incident and why police faced when they got on the scene. Plus, meet the CNN Hero of the Year.

@Elle That is a possibility that they were crashing the dinner as a cover, but I think you are getting ahead of yourself a bit. There are lots of possibitlies at this point including the possibility that they were in fact invited to the dinner. There could be a breach of security and they could be invited.

This story about Patricia Bond and her son tugs at my heart. Gary Tuchman is asking a good question, Why didn't they just negotiate a marriage? Even so, Father Henry should've found a way to contact his son. Maybe that's something he wanted to do.

@Erica, do you know which production company? Did the couple hire the camera crew, or did some other entity?

What is going on with the pilots today? We keep our eyes on the road they need to keep their eyes on the route.

    Another interesting Gary Tuchman story.

There is something so basically "wrong" about this story. The ethics of the Catholic church are at the core of this story.

The priest (father of the child) should have been summarily dismissed from the priesthood.

I have been a Anderson Cooper 360 viewer for a long time. I am new in blogging...I love that I can comment on what it is beeing said on TV on the spot.
Even though I LOVE to know everything we don't NEED to know that the secret service can not do their jobs.

What does the president comment on the incident?

The camera crew was actually from a produciton company

@David, Indiana – Thanks for your comment to me. I'm glad to know i'm not the only one who that the personal camera crew was weird.

I know why Tiger Woods was leaving his house at 2:30 a.m., he was on his way to Wal-Mart for the Black Friday sale.

I skipped the early, early morning sales today and decided to hit the malls around noon. I think everyone in South Charlotte was at the mall I went to, but the folks were well-behaved. Even after 1PM, I still found lots of sales! And Chrismas presents! 🙂

Interesting tidbit from Erwin Gomez – he told me Mrs Salahi has an outstanding bill for her wedding. He tells us she had 27 bridesmaids - too many for him to make them all up.

He says she still has not settled the wedding bill, but he did get her credit card up-front for Tuesday and that was paid.

@ Megan Dresslar-Shoreline WA – I agree about Gary Tuchman, he brings us the most unusual and best stories, he is a treasure for 360.

Very sad to hear about Black Friday behaviors, people acting like....well you know what.

Per WESH TV in Orlando website: “FHP said the crash is still under investigation. It said alcohol did not play a role in the crash, but that charges are pending.”

    @Isabel Happy Friday!

@Starr I wondered about that too, they brought a whole camera crew and the Secret Service was "embarrassed" to turn them away. That's very hard to believe.

Good for Tiger Woods wife. It's completely conceivable that if she heard an accident and then saw her husband hurt and unconsicous in the car that she would be in a panic and smash out the window. She would be worried about everything and would want to get to him and not wait around for the ambulance.

Where was he going at 2:20am and how does one lose control of a vehicle at a slow rate of speed, 100 ft from home? No airbags but lacerations on his face? Police got there in 2 minutes according to the mayor, so how did mrs. tiger break the window & get him out before they got there?

If this couple did something illegal by lying to federal officers...they need to be punished...Just because they didn't do anything illegal once in the White House..how do we know they weren't planning something and didn't carry threw with it? When it comes to the President of the United States..we can never be too careful.

Speaking of Black Friday, down here in south Florida we had a scuffle at Target in the middle of the night over $1.70 towels. Not that flat screen TV or that DVD on sale, but cheap towels where 2 women tried to buy all of them. Go figure. Let the season begin.

All I can say is I'm completely shocked! I think it should not be taken lightly at all. They need to be treated as law breakers they did not abide the law by attending this very important event uninvited. It's frightening to watch the footage of them with President Obama and other very important dignitaries. This sends a message to Americans who may not agree w/the administration and the whole world how accessible the President can be. It's terrifying to those of us who pray for our Presidents safety every day. This is not something only the secret service need to be held accountable for. The couple who looked the look and dressed the dress our frauds and need to also be held accountable and in my opinion prosecuted for their behavior. It showed the world access to our countries leaders. This is far more serious than just blaming the secret service this couple intended to be there invite or not. It really leaves you at a loss for words...I only hope they are treated the same way as you would punish any other law breaker
