@ David Indiana, i wish i could answer your question on which sectors are doing well on the market, but i can tell you it is Not new housing (which unexpectedly fell this quarter.)
Good night everybody. Good show tonight.
@Gady,
You're welcome!!! HUGS!
wow .. slipped in bad boston accent there. ooooops
What Jaycee went through is just so unimaginable!
That guy should just ROT!
this flu affects young people quite hard sometimes. for the life of me i can't see how every doctor is in some big conspiracy to lure people into taking some "evil" vaccine. get yourself and your loved ones vaccinated. it's just common sense.
@james, if I remember correctly, Sanjay did not get the shot because he had H1N1 in Afghanistan recently
Love Wanda Sykes....she is very funny.
Love, the Limbaugh remark. And, appreciate her balanced take on Pres. Obama.
@ Erica,
Hello Erica, glad to see that you were able to log on with us tonight! 🙂
Yes glad people's 401K got a boost today, but am even more thankful that GDP grew by 3.5% in the third quarter. I'm sorry I should know this but what sectors are accounting the growth, the impression I have is that there generally stimulus throughout the economy is that right?
Where did he get the huge rubber bands he used in that ball?
Good pt, repub part vp candidate going for a conservative party candidate instead of a republican, I'm surprised Sarah Palin is doing that.
Wanda Sykes is GREAT!!!
I love WANDA
Wanda Skyes has her on T.V. show?
She's pretty funny!
@ Jennifer,
There is quite a bit in there however, I've heard from a nurse that it's a lot like the HPV vaccine.
The President is always measured on good economic news precisely because so many are out of work, but I also wish that he would get credit for the good that is going on. I seemed to remember that the GOP saying that the stock market was the indicator when it was bad , now its good, The it was GDP, now that's good. Now the are talking about job creation, that will bee good at some point too . I just want to know when is the media going to ask the GOP what is their plan besides the word "No"
Hi Erica! Glad to see you got "hooked up" to join un on the blog.
It's interesting how obsessed everyone, particularly Democrats are about Sarah Palin, when even the majority of Republicans don't think she's qualified as President. What are they so afraid of?
@Lori, that's funny!! 😛
I think Palin is out there for the attention, and she is no longer interested in a politic position.
I want to know if Dr. Gupta had taken the h1n1 shot?
Answer for "To vaccinate or not to vaccinate."....NO!
Bad brew.
Holistic strengthening of system instead.
I loved Paul B's remark about hunting down heretics.
belated logon for me tonight – no laptop in the studio. all set now, though
@ Casey Jones,
I know that this H1N1 vaccine is very serious....there are many people out there that are very period about this vaccine, and want to know what is in it and why are people not getting it, the main reasons!
what an odd box for the obama white house. finally, finally the economy grows - but it isnt adding jobs and might not for months - so they have to be very careful not to brag or do too many handstands.
I like Sarah Palin. She appears to have some backbone.
Who is really going to listen to Palin? Especially in NY?
The candidate she is supporting doesn't even live in the district he is running for.
Rediculous!
Let's see Wanda Sykes! She's hilarious!
@Emily
Mercury has been typical until recently in vaccines as a preservative, supposedly in safe amounts. Versions of the H1N1 vaccine will be available without Mercury, it's just that they allowed the Mercury (and without level restrictions, at least in WA) for now so as to speed up the process of getting the vaccine out so those most at risk can get them asap.
I have 3 friends who have lost their jobs recently. Each one of them were told the reason they were fired was "it wasn't working out".
It would seem that many employers have the "cream of the crop" to choose from, or they are just trimming their budgets.
I really hope that the Obama adminstration really can create millions more jobs.
@Gady,
I hope you will better soon right away, get rest for you.
How do you prove you have 'saved' a job? Either there are more jobs or not. Thanks John King for pointing out that President Obama lost ground by 3 million jobs.
some of the jobs, they have been phased out!
businesses have cut them out in order not to go out of business!
yes, to "save" the entire company/business, there were many that were phased out...different from the ones that May have a job to come back to!
We live in Bucks County PA and have tried to find H1N1 vaccine for our teenage son.
It seems like no one has it and no one knows when they are going get it, including
our primary physician.
I am very upset and nervous!
Do you know where we can go to get our son immunize from H1N1 virus?
Please help!
@John King were the states in red those that had closed schools? I didn't catch that, If so, the map needs to be corrected because we had a school close locally here due to H1N1.
Has anyone figured out why w/swine flu vaccine in 1976 those vaccinated caught Gullian Barre syndrome?
I think the steps taken to stem this outbreak are helping, maybe the virus is, thankfully, less virulent (though seems to be potentially dangerous for pregnant women and young people), an unchecked flu pandemic could have a snowball effect on public health.
@Emily. It's rather simple. Do you want to live or take a chance on death? Are you high risk? Maybe it's worth the risk. I've taken a lot of drugs that were considered poison and I'm still here to type this (I wouldn't be otherwise). We can't have it both ways considering the urgency.
Nice see President Obama honored many soldiers casket who love lost ones from Afghanistan, My heart goes to soldiers family & friends
@Mike, formerly from Syracuse.
Your remark about the vaccine and the piano -hysterically funny!
