Pres. Obama declares H1N1 a national emergency. Plus, tracking the banks bailout money. Are they using it to lobby Congress for new banking rules to their liking?

Here are some of them:
1) Keep it short (we don't have time to read a "book")
2) Don't write in ALL CAPS (there's no need to yell)
3) Use your real name (first name only is fine)
4) No links
5) Watch your language (keep it G-rated; PG at worst - and that includes $#&*)
Anderson Cooper goes beyond the headlines to tell stories from many points of view, so you can make up your own mind about the news. Tune in weeknights at 8 and 10 ET on CNN.

Great show today! Thanks!
See you tomorrow!
@ John King
I am looking forward to your program at 11pm.
@Selvin, 53% of us pay ALL the federal taxes. 47% get a free ride. A health tax would just burden those already paying more than their fair share.
Good night everyone! John and Erica.....and CNN
Excellent news presentation and thanks for keeping us informed
John and Erica, Im 100% in agreement with you that i do not care about Levi Johnston either!

Sounds like Home might have caused this, great place to send her. Great family.
Drew
Its clear this girl Casey has a serious condition and I hope she gets better.
I disagree with rape and other items being pre-existing conditions; but how do you deal with people who don't get insurance until they get sick? They would be abusing the system. It's like buying car insurance after you have an accident.
@ starr, formerly known as vincent
Yes, I completely agree and to be honest, it is frightening to me to watch our country going in this direction.
@ John King, what a great discussion tonight on several really important issues.
Fellow bloggers, we All rock! Some really interesting and educational opinions out there!
Great reporting my Erica on this amnesia case.
that sounds awful to not know who you are, having amnesia!
I can't even grasp that...to not remember anything?!
I feel bad for her!
Dont the amnesia girl look like Pink.
Today's progress is disgusting.
@ John King
Looking forward to your interview at 11pm. I love your interviews... you keep everyone on target and never let them get away with absorbing time by talking about nonsense! You are excellent at what you do.
@ Lauren–NY
You are very sweet! There is no undermining here.... we just express our thoughts and feelings.... No need to apologize to me. You certainly have a right to saw what you want 🙂
@Starr, well that's a good point. Customers have to balance to the penny, but the bank itself is wildly out of control with its own checkbook. Even so, there shld be a daily record of monies flowing in and out of the bank.
In terms of sevice and access to healthcare, it's not fair for Christina Turner to be denied health insurance due being on antihiv drugs (I didn't know that antihiv drugs are given preventatively), but it term of business, this make sense. Not in Ms Turner case, but in another case, a business for instance that adversely affected someone's health might be shucking the responsibility for liability and just handing that to the insurance company.
Thank you John King for this discussion because it does help me to see how the public option would work.
This is a great panel here! Lots of excellent info.
It's just more infuriating to hear more of this!
I can't believe this "pre-existing condition" excuse that the insurance companies are using; esp. when things occur that are not the fault of the person! Outrageous!
This should be real good for Nancy Palosi a formal tea party by by Nancy dont hold your breath for a second term.
Once you raped you can’t get health insurance !!!!!
Are we living in USA ?
John,
You're so funny man I seen!!!! You're doing great job fill-in for Anderson tonight!
What has happened to our country and our businesses?
The Banks & Wall St. want to rob us and leave us broke, some in Congress want us to not have health care, insurance co.'s do everything they can to "undermine" mostly women......oh, and i forgot "addiction".
When did we as a country let all of these behaviors be okay?
@ Erica Hill
I completely agree with you! Its an outrage
