If you look closely at the interview when Falcon said "we did it for show"; it appears the father is mouthing the exact same words! It's as if he was coaching Falcon what to say.

    good evening Anderson

H1N1 is getting to be a pretty big deal. my sister just came down with it and several kids at my high school as well – but not an extremely large amount. although, the local newspaper DID just publish a story about H1N1 (it's infected at least 20 elementary school children in the area and we're a town of only 6,000). My sister's on Tamiflu right now and not feeling much better than she did 2 days ago. My friend's 4 month old niece also came down with it which is quite worrisome as she has a heart defect.
there are also free flu shots coming to my school when our town has never done this before... of course everyone i know is very worried, wondering how this will all play out.

Balloon Boy: Wolf Blitzer may not have won Jeapardy but he can be credited for asking the smoking gun question "Why did you hide?"

Maybe mom and dad can devise a new reality show based upon their life in jail. That's the show the public wants to see.

Poor Jeffrey Toobin. But the family did recruit the kids into the hoax, and wasted public resources, which should be examined.

I feel deeply disappointed about the whole balloon story.

Especailly for the children, mostly Falcon.

I know people are very angry. However, i feel that sending one or both parents to jail would have profoudly negative effects on the children, especailly Falcon.

I think that it is appropriate for the parents to pay back the very Large rescue bill. This action alone, will teach the entire family a lesson and the children, especially Falcon.

We do not need more retribution than that. God Bless Jeff Toobin's point of view.

Greetings to All! Well ,I'm not surprised at the hoax...Sad way to exploit your children and ruin your credibility in the public eye forever! I hope they pay for every single cent of the rescue mission.

Good evening, everyone. What a bizarre story with the Heene family and not surprised it turned out to be a hoax. No wonder Falcon Heene was vomiting all over the Friday morning shows. The stress that poor little boy must have been under.

on Balloon hoax: Shame on this family! I put blame on both parents subjecting their young children to these things just to be on TV. This father is really somethingelse.

I wish CNN would stop referring to Falcon as "the balloon boy"; hasn't he suffered enough abuse from his parents without the media giving this tag that will haunt him for the rest of his lfe??

Good evening Anderson and hi to all bloggers. Happy Monday. I think the whole balloon thing was so emotional for many people. My little grandson was so upset about "the boy" when they turned on the TV and saw it. I'm sure many people found it pretty traumatic just to watch. What were these people thinking????

    October 19, 2009 at 10:03 pm |
  41. Emily

Many are concerned about the boys!
I can't get that look that Richard gave Falcon when he said "I did it for the show" to Mr.Blitzer, and then the following day Falcon was throwing up on different T.V. shows!

The boy's family didn't think the hoax would have such a proportion with the airport closed and the use of 2 helicopters from the National Guard.
