A double dose of tragedy in the South Pacific. Another earthquake strikes.  Thousands of people are reportedly trapped. We'll take you inside the rescue effort.   Plus, a five-year-old takes on an alligator. A 40 pound boy versus an 800 pound gator. This kid isn't shy.

4) No links

    @ Mike

    To simply answer your question:

"All evil needs is for good men (or women) to do nothing".

And sad to say the people who should be closely involved are doing nothing.

    Hello Anderson,
Huge fan and first comment on the blog.

Of course, Health Insurance Companies make life very difficult for people; as a finance person this is simple for me, and I coach others on this stuff. I am passonate about those who are very ill, trying to get better, and have added stress to deal with insurance.

How much is "left on the table" from consumers – I would love to personally audit the Insurance Co records! I guarantee I would find a bundle !! Let's team up for this investigation!

Keep up the great work! My best....Tracy

There's no reason for anyone to speak about Polanski AT ALL. None of them have any first-hand relation to the incident. Why should anybody speak out against Polanski–to be a busy body?

"Erica Hill, If all of Hollywood isn’t behind Polanski, where are the ones who want him to serve time? Are they afraid they’ll be blacklisted if they speak out?"

@Mike, Syracuse, NY, I agree. I haven't heard one celebrity speak out against Polanski and they don't speak out against Woody Allen either, in fact quite the opposite, they are always praising him.

My insurance company denied my son's treatment(tx) on the claim it was
*experimental/investigational* (untrue) I still continued with my son's tx due to his condition (paid $11-$12,000+) and after 1-1/2yrs+ of endless calls, copies of medical records/doc, trying to appeal this (extremely frustrating and I was about to give up the appeal) they finally reported they made a *mistake* and that it all was approved, sent retro check

I guess Palin is getting the last laugh. Maybe she's not so stupid after all.

I'm a medical billing advocate. I help people with mountains of medical bills get what they are entitled to. The Medical Billing Advocates of America estimates that 9 out of 10 medical bills have some kind of an error. That doesn't even deal with the insurance companies playing games to avoid paying correct bills. Patients should fight back Hire a medical billing advocate to help you - most of us work on contingency - if we don't find you savings and get your claims straightened out, you don't pay us.

Private companies with private records pay taxes and those records are public are they not?

It is ridiculous that the woman in W. Virginia's broken arm was covered and then regarded as a pre-existing condition. Great instance of the need for health insurance reform. That's part of what's going on in congress right now though.

I hope all the heated rhetoric doesn't make people turn away from the proposed health care reforms.

Tufts students don't have enough consideration to not force their roomates to have be in the room while they're having sex?
