We just noticed on the commercial break during your show, a Walmart commercial for towels. There was a mother taking her child out of the bath tub. How ironic? Don't you think?

We love you Anderson and Erica!

I don't think it was suicide. Is this a result of all the hate speech?

I just don't think the Census worker's death was a suicide. He fought through his cancer, he was reportedly in remission, he had two jobs which is a blessing in this economy, and his friends say he was doing fine.

    Looks like murder to me.

Good interview with Sen McCain. I find that he is very knowledgeable about the strategies of war. Looking forward to your interview with Pres Clinton.

Most people who do commit suicide dont show their depressed sides to the public..

My cousin works for the census and she has told me that she suffers a great deal of suspicion from her clients, and sometimes down right abuse (verbal).

Wow, we need more Senators like John McCain in office. I didn't vote for him and was prepared for brutal criticism of Pres. Obama. Instead he showed a lot of class and faith in the president.

I always thought McCain was a good man and I'm thrilled that he showed that in Anderson's interview.

This hanging of the Census worker is extremely troubling.

    Anderson -

A question for President Bill Clinton -

How has your involvement in the Clinton Global Initiative and your extensive travel in the year's following your presidency changed your perspective on the role the US plays in the global commmunity? What lessons have you learned that you would like to share with our current leaders?

Immediately following the article on Anderson 360 about the parents' photos being turned over to the police, by Walmart, as child-porn . . . didn't I see a commercial from Walmart showing the same type of image (a child wrapped in a towel) on your show? Should we turn Walmart in to the authorities for distribution of child-porn?

    September 24, 2009 at 10:53 pm |
  29. Caroline. Los Angeles

@Anderson–I think Clinton may have been asked this question by someone else recently, but ask him what is different about the House health care bills now vs. what he and Hillary worked up in the 90s.

Also ask him if he ever considered a Single Payer Plan back then or if it wasn't even a whispered idea back then.

    September 24, 2009 at 10:52 pm |
  30. Emily

@Erica ...you are right about that!
It was great that the parents in that case spoke out.
I hope that CNN keeps up with them and this case.

Walmart and the police should be ashamed of themselves!

Anderson, excellent interview with Sen. Mc Cain! I'm grateful that you read his remarks, they were touching and incredibly true.

I agree with everything that Sen, McCain said. Pres. Obama inherited the Afgan war, which had been ignored for years in place of Iraq.

If we, the American people, can be patient like he asked, i beleive that the Afgan situation could change dramatically. But firts and foremost, Pres. Obama must see that the recent elections in Afganistan are not tainted.

@Jo Anne – In many parts of the world, HIV is an unavoidable part of life. However, I agree, in the US, we often don't promote safe practices, sexual and otherwise, to prevent HIV. Much could be done in terms of education.

    September 24, 2009 at 10:51 pm |
  34. Mike, Syracuse, NY

Why wouldn't education on safe sex be a much better investment than an HIV vaccine? It would also prevent other SDTs and cut down on teen pregnancy too.
