I think Elizabeth Edwards, her children, and this baby girl are the losers in this latest political scandal. This is such a painful and private matter. It's far worse when the public gets involved. I'm really not sure the mud needs to be thrown right now.

Is there a more reprehensible, disgusting figure in recent American political history than John Edwards?

Poor Donald Trump, first all the hullabaloo with Miss California now this. Who would have known a tent would have caused so much trouble.

I'm glad Mr. Trump gave him somewhere to pitch his tent! Its a tent, he is not building a house and he will be gone in a few days. I think the story has just been blown out of proportion.

The entire Edwards story is truly sad and starting to look more like a tabloid story.

I genuinely hope that for the children he has with Elizabeth and Elizabeth can be spared his "adoption" of this other child.

Very, very sad. And, although there might be legal ramifications, i also hope that he is Not sent to jail where he is unable to bea father to his children with Elizabeth.

Rielle Hunter makes me sick. Parading the baby around at the Grand Jury hearing. She should be ashamed causing more pain to Elizabeth Edwards.

    Hello, ANDERSON & ERICA.
What makes a man like EWARDS lose it all ... sexual seduction.

When my then husband had an affair I thought the only pain worse would be the death of one of my children. I was wrong it would also be much more painful to be dying and find out my husband not only had an affair but has a child from it and now wants to acknowledge the child and have her and the mother in his life. The least he could do is give his dying wife some peace.

@Anderson Why would Trump allow this terrosist leader on his property ? Hotels have Air condidtioning too .Maybe Kadafi wanted to have his accomidations feel like home like being in the desert or something very strange .

Anderson – I don't find it surprising Trump would allow it. I'm sure there was something in it for him, and I for one am not convinced Trump is as PR-savvy as many seem to believe. One thing I don't believe: Trump was duped.

Thank you for blogging with us Anderson.

In answer to your question about Trump, i can't imagine What he was thinking....i can't beleive that $$ had anything to do with it....Trump has plently.
I do think that Mr. Trump is very likely to change his mind based on what NYC and Westchester decide to do.
The entire situation is over the top!

I agree with you... surprising Trump would permit this on his property.

How long is expected that Kadafi stays in the U.S.? He can move freely? Certainly there is some security scheme, no?

Elizabeth Edwards won't have to worry about John admitting to being the baby's father. Because if he is, the media will be all too glad to tell the world. Despite her wishes. 🙁

@Khalid – Rabbi Boteach was not here in a religious capacity, as you saw in the discussion. He was here because he was a driving force behind the efforts to stop Gadhafi from coming to Englewood, NJ. The Libyan property there neighbors his home.

I hope there is a positive outcome from the UN climate change summit.

I found some helpful tips on the Australian ‘Department of Climate Change’ website.

I was in Jubuti when Libian terrorists bombed a cafe trying to kill french military and only killed many muslim civilians. I belive Gadhafi's security has told him he is better to carrie out mettings without being bugged if it is done in a hastly erected tent.

I think we should stop hosting the UN in America. It should be held on an Island where no one will be offended!!

  43. Rachel - Cambridge, MA

Gadhafi is the leader of another country, therefore he must be allowed into ours to foster good international relations. If we were to deny him entry, where would this stop? Who would decide what country, though we may not like them very much, still gets to attend UN conferences here? It is the UN, so we must allow all to participate. That does not mean that we need to let him create a public spectacle for no reason, embarrassing our troops and shaming many citizens.

You know, for a country that has supported dictators all over the world, supported and support armed conflicts everywhere, we sure are judgmental of others who have done the same. I personally do not condone terrorism, but how can we judge????? Get real people and face the music.

khadafi is a Libyan Dictator that is visiting the US. We as moral God fearing humans are not supposed to stoop to his level. God is love not hatred. He has a right to stay somewhere in the United States while here at the United Nations. I don't condone his behavior but Jeez at least act civilized and not so hateful and stop protesting everywhere he tries to stay.

America stand up and object. Gadhafi needs to go home. We don't need to compromise when it comes to our security and our loyalty to citizens who lost their lives to a terrorist attack.
