I'm not surprized about this – after all, we have a long history of sucking up to the "wrong sort".

    Good evening to you all.

There is no way that Donald Trump didn't know Gadhafi was going to pitch his tent in Bedford. The bottom line is; Donald Trump got paid in advanced by Gadhafi. It's all about the dollar bill and greed.

    Hello Anderson,
Gadhafi is here legally and should stay somewhere. He has not come here to cause trouble but to fulfil his legitimate responsibilities. Please leave Gadhafi alone. Let him stay, work and then go in peace.

What has happened to the philoposy of turn the other cheek? and Chistrian chirity. Since the United States is, at this time, using diplomacy and detante; why can't the American public accept this approach.

    Thank you , apn

Is our goverment that weak minded? I am a Iraq vet I am out of the Army now running my own bussiness.....But either in the military still or not i still stand by my vaules. Some may want to say forgive and forget but if it was a presidents son or daughter that was on that airplane i bet he wouldn't be allowed here. hell troops would prob be trying to hunt him down like they did Saddam. and as for trump he can forget me watching his show if he doesn't do anything about it. the Rabbii is right though the town needs to take it into there own hands. I'll tell you this much Gaddhfii better not show up in Goldthwaite, Tx. or he might bite off more than he can chew.

Of course, he should be welcomed, just as any another foreign dignitary. The Libyan government has paid restitution for the Pan Am flight. That should be the end of the controversy. There are far worse leaders in the world. But to deny him the right to convene in a tent is un-american, where all have the right to agree/disagree. It is outrageous that these people are so self important to deny the Libyans the right accorded to all Americans. And to declare the tent as an illegal structure is simply obstructionist. This is just silly and reinforces the "Ugly American" image of the US throughout the world.

@Vincent, this is NOT a civil rights issue. The man is a terrorist and has killed dozens of Americans. He should never have been allowed in.

Did Trump, Inc. allow him to put up his tent there, or did he do it without permission?

We've already allowed him to enter our borders... what does it say about us that we're suddenly changing our mind and kicking him out? I think it makes us look confused and insecure. I'm just as nervous that he is here, but we need to take responsibility for our actions.

it is like a slap in the face everything we r fighting for and have been doing since 911 and before .....Here we see a man celebrate the release and return of a terrorist. and know welcome here on American soil...Shame on Donald Trump ..... he of all people should know how un American this is .....We should let some of the family members of Pan Am flight have a few choice words with him.....Fire his ass.

I totally agree with Tammy~ If you had lost a family member, a loved one in that plane crash....and then you saw Gadhafi giving the man responsible a hero's welcome, how would that make you feel? He is still a Dictator, an evil one at that...and he should not be allowed to stop foot on our soil. How did this happen?? Shame on Donald Trump too...and also Obama for not putting a stop to this. He needs to be shipped home!

The USA is the host of the UN, therefore, presidents of all countries are legally welcomed. If we want the UN, then presidents can come. Gadhafi is the president of his country and should not be interfered with. The rabbi does not speak for all Americans. The president of Israel, Netenyahu (spelling) is also a terrorist killing the people of Palestine. If Israel's president can come Gadahafi can come w/out harrassment.

Why did they invite him if they did not want him here? I think the tent is fine. It is a piece of cloth. Here today, gone tomorrow. Whoever organized this UN meeting should have set explicit instruction as to where these world leaders could go, or if they could camp out in a nearby town if that is what they wanted. The rules should be the same for all of those who were "invited" .

  15. Kay

I like the idea to encourage people to protest at the tent. The man should go back and stay at the only place that will have him.

Gadhafi should not be given special treatment here. He has brought much pain to many Americans.

Why is Gadhafi allowed entrace to the US? What's up with the tent, anyway? Why can't he stay at a Hotel? I don't get it.

As far as the Lockerbee bomber kissing Qadhafi, when you live in under a dictator you make sure you do not offend him or her.

From revolutionary who financed and arming radical groups, Kadafi has become in recent years against terrorism. Is it safe to trust such a change?

i think that the citizens of bedford are hypocritical, president bush went into iraq, captured that country's leader and then assasinated him and sent our children over to their country to continue to kill their people women children and men and we say that the reason we dont want qadaffi here is because he's a terrorist humm!

  25. Josh

Alot of leaders are corrupt but still take part in the U.N. as leader, let Trump do what he want with his property or we are denying an American his rights. People pitch tents everyday, they dont need a permit for tent cities! We have them. This is stupid... Obama got bigger issues.

How about mentioning the reason that Kadafi is here, a UN General Assembly meeting. He is here as a head of state with diplomatic credentials.

There should be protests in the streets to get him out This is all to do with money and greed it scary Donald will do this for money .

Mr. Trump should remember which country has given him the opportunity to become who he is today. If he feels that that is Lybia, perhaps he should go pitch his tent in Gadhafi's backyard.

We need to move on and how can a Rabbi be so unforgiving about Ghadaffi..Of course we do not condone the man's practices and past behaviors however..He's not the only one with blood on his hands. How dare a Rabbi judge another? Leave all judgement to the almighty himself.

I do not believe Trump should kick out a diplomatic leader. That is just rude. He was given a visa to be in the US for the UN meeting, and then he is going to leave. This is becoming really overblown. If he isn't in your face, then ignore him. He isn't going to your grocery stores or to your barber shops 🙁

I notice, everytime Donald Trump is involved in something, its controversal. First both the Miss America controversies, his romp with Rosie O'Donnell and now this. Im thinking he likes this type of attention.

Gadhafi is a leader in his country...why wouldnt he be allowed to enter the US or anywhere in the world? It'll be more interesting to find out what this UN meeting is about and what will come out of this.

However, he should stay in a hotel just like any other leaders attendign this meeting.

What happened to Homeland Security. How could the U.S. have a known terrorist on U.S. soil let alone anywhere N.Y. city after 911. I can't believe that someone like Donal Trump would allow this and I would really like to hear what he has to say.

    September 22, 2009 at 10:16 pm |
  41. Ellen C.

Anyone with ties to terrorism, past or present shouldn't even be allowed in this country, let alone pitching a tent here to discuss business or welcome guests! I wouldn't even welcome that Scottish judge that saw fit to release a terrorist back to his country, to be welcomed like a hero! Trump is either oblivious or beyond communication with his various corporations!

Trump knows, it wouldn't surprise me to learn that Libya paid Trump a handsome amount to use his property. Trump is a business man above all else, including all moral sense.

What's the deal with tent? why won't Gadhafi held meetings on hotel property???

Should Kadafi be allowed on US soil? This question asks if we, as Americans, should permit someone who openly supports terrorism to come on our soil. In light of the fact that Kadafi has endorsed a man who has killed 270 innocent American civilians, the answer, of course, is NO.

I'm sorry. Some leaders don't deserve to be recognized by this nation, especially when they blatantly approve of the attack of our citizens. The UN is not a therapy group where they all learn to play nice.

    September 22, 2009 at 10:15 pm |
  46. gail

Apparently, Gadhafi is allowed in the US because visas for them to come to the UN can not be denied due to treaties. Since he is supposed to come to the UN let him stay in the UN building and be allowed no where else. Stop the tent from even going up! Period! This man embraced a known terrorists

    Donald Trump-YOU'RE FIRED!
