Good evening and welcome to the AC360° Emmy Awards Live Blog. The winners, the losers, possible Kanye West interruptions…we’ve got your running commentary. And sure, considering all that’s going on in the world, the Emmys aren’t hugely important. But if you’re looking to get away from the bleak news-of-the-day for a few hours, then this blog is the place for you.
As for my qualifications to moderate this blog, well, I once saw Angela Lansbury in the grocery store.
We should point out that we’re not encouraging you to change the channel from CNN, but if you’re going to watch the Emmy Awards anyway, you might as well watch them with us.
And even if you’re not watching them, we think you’ll still enjoy the live blog. I’ll be with you from 8:00pm Eastern Time until the Emmys finish airing.
If you would like to participate in our Live Blog (and we hope you do) please follow our rules.
Here are some of them:
1) Please keep your comments short
2) Don’t write in ALL CAPS (we don’t like screaming)
3) Use your real name
Please note that due to volume we may not be able to post all comments.

30 Rock ... much deserved!
Yay!! 30 Rock won, they deserve it!!
30 Rock – quel surprise.....
Woo! Not unexpected. Well deserved. 30 Rock is a great show.
30 Rock ... yesssssss
30 Rock! Much deserved....a brilliantly funny show.
Newhart rocks- then and now.
Bob Newhart is cute!
Simon Baker has nothing on Jack Gray
Haven't even heard of Breaking Bad! Must watch soon.
Bob Newhart is a comedy genius...nice to see him there.
No Don Draper – I'm soooo disappointed – John Hamm is just so good 🙁
Yes Jack .. Simon had that fake smile plastered tight on his face when BCs name was read.
.. I don't think the metalist saw that coming ...
Maybe I should start watching Breaking Bad???? Is it any good?
I agree, @Jack, did you also buy your glasses from the same store as Delanay and Baker?
I like the glasses... do they scare Sammy?? If not, you should wear them!!
Stacy- Whoever you are, You're hilarious!
Neither Simon Baker nor his glasses looked happy when the winner was announced.
I don't even know who that is. Was hoping Michael C. Hall would take the prize.
.... Portraying a car crash victim? What an intro ...
Will Hugh Laurie EVER win? He deserves it : (
ok – so it's official with Dana....glasses are sooo IN.
Another person who doesn't look like themselves in their glasses..what is up with that tonight?
House, House, House, House, House!!!
Onlly three awards left – if I don't get a chance later, I want to say thanks to all of you for keeping me company during this show. It has been fun to share with you. Thanks to Jack & CNN!
The Breakfast Club was my favorite movie back in the day.
@newsjunkie365.....you're funny!!Nice to see you here!!
i have been a Big fan of Glen Close since 'The World According to Garp' and even bigger in "The Big Chill" and all her other films and guest spots on TV – BRAVO Mz Close !!
@ Katherine, Atlanta, Ga hahahaha @ shhh Simon Baker "can read what we you're thinking" 😛
Clock is winding down to hear those magic words: "Ladies and gentlemen, Loni Anderson."
**KANYE I hate that I can't type and think at the same time. LOL
@jack..about you looking like Simon Baker....No...you're alot cuter with a terrific sense of humor..Keep it up!
@stacy There obviously needs to be some sort of rapper reality show to introduce the Kanya wannabe element to the Emmys. LOL
@jamie – to me Sally Field seems to keep taking on identical character roles over and over again.
I can't remember her taking on a role that differs from her current Brothers/Sister's character (aka Steel Magnolias, Forrest Gump)..for a LONG time
I am not sure who Simon looks like in his glasses but it's not himself.
@jackgraycnn Do you at least get a feeling of gravitas from them? Perhaps others would find you very important if you wore them outdoors. I mean... not that the dog's respect isn't important... but... 😉
I really wanted Elizabeth to win for Peggy, but who can beat Glenn Close? But it's okay, this season of Mad Men is even better so there's always next year's awards.
Sue- Good call.. I agree!
We have very little time left for a drunken outburst. Come on, celebs. Let's get crackin'!
I'm almost positive I saw Glenn Close in Ireland once.. she said hi.
I CAN spell- I just can't type – I meant Glenn Close
the eyeglass frames that Simon Baker and I both have. well, he can pull them off....I only wear them inside my apartment because they make me look like Henry Kissinger.
Hughes did work on "Delta House" a TV series in the last 70's as a writer.
Glenn Colde is a very classy lady!
Thank god no-one in the theatre has a bunny
Shhh ... Simon Baker can read what you're thinking ... he is the mentalist ... of course.
love Sally Field from the days of Steel Magnolias and Forrest Gump, but she's always crying
@Jack, show us a pic with your glasses on ;')
Glenn Close is solid. She always seems to do a good job.
Rod Blagojevic makes me think if horrible missteps involving a pruner.
Totally agree about the guest spots for comedy and drama Jack.
