Jack Gray
AC360° Writer/Producer

Good evening and welcome to the AC360° Emmy Awards Live Blog. The winners, the losers, possible Kanye West interruptions…we’ve got your running commentary. And sure, considering all that’s going on in the world, the Emmys aren’t hugely important. But if you’re looking to get away from the bleak news-of-the-day for a few hours, then this blog is the place for you.

As for my qualifications to moderate this blog, well, I once saw Angela Lansbury in the grocery store.

We should point out that we’re not encouraging you to change the channel from CNN, but if you’re going to watch the Emmy Awards anyway, you might as well watch them with us.

And even if you’re not watching them, we think you’ll still enjoy the live blog. I’ll be with you from 8:00pm Eastern Time until the Emmys finish airing.

If you would like to participate in our Live Blog (and we hope you do) please follow our rules.

Here are some of them:

1) Please keep your comments short
2) Don’t write in ALL CAPS (we don’t like screaming)
3) Use your real name

Please note that due to volume we may not be able to post all comments.

Despite the show's lacklusterness, NPH is getting a lot of love. Ellen gave him a shout out on Twitter not long ago. Now Jon Stewart.

Is there anything wrong with jamming out to the instrumental version of "Got to Be Real" playing over this Emmy announcer I'm ignoring?

So we're watching an award show where people are getting an award for their work on an awards show. This seems wrong somehow.

I have to say, overall the show is boring, with little bits of brillance. Some of the acceptance speaches were great and some of the bits, like Dr Horrible are great as well. Not to mention Sarah Silverman's moustache.

    September 20, 2009 at 10:02 pm |
  41. Beth from SC @bandcmd

    Jon Stewart rocks!

Yes, Johnny Galecki was Darlene's boyfriend on Roseanne. And she appears in a few episodes of Big Bang Theory as his girlfriend!

Not to worry folks – he rolled the grape around, spit it out and now my cat has a new toy!

Congrats to Jon Stewart and his team. Never miss a show. Nice that Stephen Colbert was the first to congratulate Jon. Colbert would have been my 2nd choice..
