The 18-year mystery surrounding the kidnapping case of Jaycee Dugard ended last week when a sex offender admitted to correction authorities that he abducted her.

Dugard was 11-years-old when she was snatched from the street in front of her house in 1991. She had two children with Phillip Garrido, the man accused of taking her, and since her kidnapping she has lived in her alleged abductor’s backyard, in a shed. All of this played out in a residential neighborhood.

the complaint filed against Phillip Garrido Sickens me, I don’t have any other words that would express what and how I feel about a crime like this! If found guilty in which I have no doubt! I hope they are both locked up for life Without chance of parole.

My question to you Anderson is about the kids, I wonder if they never been sick or seen the doctor after that long? So do you think mr Garido had his own doctor who treated these kids and their mother privately?

Nancy Garrido probably had sex with the girl (s) also, based on the previous complaint.

Why do sex offenders always get short jail sentences so that they can be released in the community to seek proper help for there so called curable mental illnesses. I think that is b/s. Maybe the one making the decisions on what kind of time they get in jail should be someone who would think of it as there own kid being molested.

Convicted rapists and pedophiles should receive life sentences without the possibility of parole since our society does not have the intestinal fortitude to execute them. How many children have to die, how many women have to be raped? Victims, mother's unite and start a grass-roots movement to stop this madness.

    Anderson,

Thank you for cutting the lady off in here defense of Garrido. She seems to not understand exactly what it was that has happened to Jaycee for the last 18 years and seems to think that from what she was able to see and knew about Jaycee and the kids that they seemed to leave in a better life then what the media is stating. What she and the others saw when coming in contact with them is what Garrido wanted them to see so they did not become concerned and would not call the police. Myself I do not know exactly how they have lived but by just looking at the home and seeing the back area in which the media is showing as there home both inside and out better shows me what she has had to live in for the past 18 years while herself and her kids being possible raped repeatedly by Garrido. People have stated that they have seen Jaycee inside the home but seeing the inside of the tents and sheds better shows that is where they lived and not inside the house.

The one thing that I do agree with her on is the poor work of the deputy sheriff that came to the home on the call about there being kids in the yard of a sex affender and the parole officer that is responsible for watching him and not finding Jaycee when they came there in the past.

I also hope that this shows that the early release program that the state and government is planning on preforming is not going to work. So far there have been so many crimes committed by people that have been released early, releasing more is just going to cause more crimes. Garrido had sentenced to life and released early, what happened after he was released early.

it makes me very very sad, and it brings me back to the abuse that i encounter for 25 years of my life, with this monster doctor that pratices in NEW YORK. This doctor has done this to many other patients of his but i know that they are afraid to speak and he also pays them for there silence. my son was abused by a new york city police man who was his father when he was a child and his visitation was suspended. I would love to see this doctor and my ex-husband pay for what they did to me and my son. I would love if someone contact me to discuss this in detail but i don't want to be in the news. first i want him to be investigated and them do what is necessary. my story is about mental abuse, physical abuse and then he abuse my son and nothing was done because he worked in the police department and they cover and protect each policer. and what i had to endure and then i met the doctor and he took advantage of me and my problems. for 25 years. yes 25 years and he got away with it because he has money. and money is power. the doctor has paid many people to cover what he has done to me and my son and i would love to see also this monster in jail.

I find it ironic that this guy has finally been caught at the same time what's his name? is investigating the CIA for protecting us from terrorists! I guess Garrido broke the law but whatever you do, do not make him stand up or sit down to long or you will be in worse trouble than him and his wife for submitting them to TORTURE!!

Anderson: Did you find out who delivered the two children? Did they
take Alyssa to the hospital or did she deliver at home?

There should have been some kind of a record.

An I to understand that little girl gave birth at the age of 14 in that back yard all by herselves ? And what about that police wjho three years ago was allerted that that sex affender had childrens in his back yard and did nothing ? This is a black eyed for all the polices forces in the country. Well maby he was in a hurry on his way to the dunking store. Sex affenders should be chemically castrated, any good phicatrists will tell you that.

    Dear Mr, Cooper;
It has been over five years since we have had
contact with or daughter. She was 20 years old when she left or family to go live with her boyfriend, who as been able to control her. We were a very loving family. Til this person was able to alienate our daughter from all her family and friends. The story of this girl raises the hairs on the back of my neck. I can't help shake the feeling that our daughter is in a simlar situation

The last guest you had on regarding Jaycee needs some serious therapy herself. Thank you Anderson for placing her foot in her mouth, what normal person would possibly care what the house looked like, he is a rapist, who cares where he carried out this horrific crime the point is he committed a horrific crime. Now the pieces need to be picked up it will most likely take many years, but I pray for Jaycee and her natural family. Your last guest belongs in the cell next to garrido.

I don't think that the cops have time to tell us what is going on. I think they need to focus on what happened and not what we want to know. If you get info on what is going on tell us by all means. Other than that people need to stay out of the cops way and let them take care of them girls. I think people need to chip in some money to send that family on a vacation so they can bond and grow stronger as a family. I wan't them to know that they are in my prayers. May God bless them in every step of this.

Look very closely at the faces of Garrido and his WIFE. I think that they are related. Brother and Sister. Can't anyone elce see this? Why can't the police have DNA testing of the two. They might be surprised.

it's not about the living conditions. He kidnapped this girl and had his way with her. She was only given the choice to be afraid. Sooner or later you realize your not going home and to stay alive is now the mission.

This man needs to be on death row! I can't believe our society focusing on the living conditions and not what he did!!! This is why our children will always be afraid!

After watching Larry's interview with Katie Hall ( Garrido's rape conviction that sent him to prison); I am even more inflammed. Katie must be so ticked...she was courageous; testified, did her part to ensure this did not EVER happen to another girl. We let down so many.... Katie, Jaycee, Angel, Starlet....and highly likely, so very many more. Shame on us all.

i still can't understand how someone can adapt to such a bad life... even though many are saying it was a way of staying alive...

Here we have a convicted pedophile released from prison, I guess, for "good" behaviour. Guess what! There are no young girls sitting around in a men's prison; he has to be "good". When his good behaviour gets him out early,he snatches a lovely young girl and ruins her life. He then tells us that he did good things with her. Lock him up. Joseph from Edmonton,Canada (hence 'behaviour' rather than 'behavior').

Why so many counts of kidnapping and kidnapping for sex? I don't understand why they repeat them so much....is it 1 for each year she was under the age of 14??
