Tonight, new developments in the bizarre and disturbing story unfolding in Antioch, California—a kidnapping cold case solved after nearly two decades.

There’s also breaking news in the Michael Jackson case. The coroner ruled today the singer’s death was a homicide. The report says Jackson died from “acute propofol intoxication.” It also says a combination of additional drugs contributed to his death. Randi Kaye will have all the details from Los Angeles.

We’ll bring you the highlights from Boston, on the eve of Senator Kennedy’s funeral.

The entire part of the city below sea level needs to be moved to higher ground. It's on a flood plain, and the levees just prevent the natural cycle of flooding. The flooding actually helped prior to the levees by depositing new soil to compensate for the land settling.

Those arial shots always reminded me where NO came from. It was a swamp and it returned to a swamp when the levees failed. I lived near a levee – could see the ships going down the Mississippi above me as i walked down the street. Those levees are vital and should have priority. When I was young, there was talk about how unsafe the levees were. Imagine had they just listened and reinforced those walls, this would never had happened.

The one thing I remember hearing about Katrina was this family was talking on the news about riding out the storm on their boat. Then seeing the aftermath and wondering what happened to them?

I still haven't heard an update.....

    uh.... truly scary....

Why didn't they build those levees strong enough to handle another Katrina? That doesn't make sense and why does it seem like the 9th Ward is being neglected?

    @ Martina Ilstad Germany

I ask the same for Anderson Cooper:

Nola is ready for a new hurricane?

People who are rebuilding in the lower 9th ward are nuts. It's almost 20 feet below sea level, and the city is sinking. It WILL flood again. Move to higher ground!

And why didnt the goverment build better levees before Katrina along time ago again? because the goverment should react 4 years later to build a leeve to protect the New Orlean people

I want to know if the Marsh plan is still going on. I think that should be one of their top priorities since the marsh lands help bring down the storm surge.

I didn't know about those other drugs that Randi Kaye mentioned, but I wondered if the dosages of Versed and Ativan were strong dosages.
The bringing of charges in this case does seem complex.

Have you ever been to the Netherlands? Have you seen the levees they have there?

    Hi, Martina, schönes Wochenende.

Honestly, if you're 50 years old with 3 children, you should know better about you addictions and look for a rehab or a addiction expert. MJ had many problems as a child and everything but once you have children you must be their example and take care of yourself.

There is no forgiveness for this creep and his wife. Living just miles from where this occurred, changed how this whole town was. The stepdad was under a microscope for years. We are a close knit community here and most of us had sleepless nights. Now we all have more restless nights thinking about what this animal did to our Jaycee Lee.

Hi everyone! Maybe I'm asking a little early but are there any plans for jaycee to speak in public yet?

MJ was given a virtual death cocktain. By the time he received Diprivan, his system was so compromised by all of the othe drugs, he fell asleep forever. Very, very tragic, it did not have to happen.

@ GADY in Canada: re: August 28th, 2009 10:34 pm ET

"Is there a way we can find out if a sex offender is living near by?"

In my area: I am listed with the local sheriffs department and when any sex offender is within a mile of my home, I get an email. I go check it often, read their charges, and look at their pics.

People would be surprised how many offenders are so close....

I agree, Teresa....MJ himself made a horrible choice.

It does not surprise me; the neighbors who made the first call about people living in tents in a backyard did not look like the people they were complaining about. This has been a problem with our system for years. The cop shows up at the door and leaves. Verdict... nosey neighbors...probably. Had the complaint been in the reverse the suspected would have investigated and arrest made.
