– Terror From The Right: 75 plots, conspiracies and racist rampages since Oklahoma City

April 19, 1995
A 7,000-pound truck bomb, constructed of ammonium nitrate fertilizer and nitromethane racing fuel and packed into 13 plastic barrels, ripped through the heart of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City. The explosion wrecked much of downtown Oklahoma City and killed 168 people, including 19 children in a day-care center. Another 500 were injured.

July 1, 1998
Three men are charged with conspiracy to use weapons of mass destruction after threatening President Clinton and other federal officials with biological weapons. Officials say the men planned to use a cactus thorn coated with a toxin like anthrax and fired by a modified butane lighter to carry out the murders. One man is acquitted of the charges, but Jack Abbot Grebe Jr., and Johnnie Wise — a 72-year-old man who attended meetings of the separatist Republic of Texas group—are sentenced to more than 24 years in prison.

April 3, 2003
Federal agents arrest antigovernment extremist David Roland Hinkson in Idaho and charge him with trying to hire an assassin on two occasions in 2002 and 2003 to murder a federal judge, a prosecutor and an IRS agent involved in a tax case against him. He is not expected to be released until 2040.

December 9, 2008
Police responding to a shooting at a home in Belfast, Maine, find James G. Cummings dead, allegedly killed by his wife after years of domestic abuse. They also find a cache of radioactive materials, which Cummings was apparently using to try to build a radioactive “dirty bomb,” along with literature on how to build such a deadly explosive. Police also discover a membership application filled out by Cummings for the neo-Nazi National Socialist Movement. Friends say that Cummings had a collection of Nazi memorabilia. The authorities say Cummings was reportedly “very upset” by the election of Barack Obama.

June 10, 2009
Eighty-eight-year-old James von Brunn, a longtime neo-Nazi, walks up to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum and allegedly shoots to death security guard Stephen Johns before he is himself shot and critically wounded by other officers. Von Brunn, who earlier served six years in connection with his 1981 attempt to kidnap the members of the Federal Reserve Board at the point of a sawed-off shotgun, has been active in the white supremacist movement for more than four decades.

Anderson the media has to be very careful to report the truth. When the President mispoke about healthcare in terms of AARP, the media was all over it. AARP has a requirement before it is true. The GOP has been out right lying, deceiving and misleading and dangerous. The media spreads their lies on a 24/7 news cycle. It's like brainwashing especially the ignorant, vulnerable or those on the fence. Sarah Palin has been inciting these angry racists since last year and she continues exploiting her family for political gain. Add Beck, Rush and Newt and the others and thousands of people have been poisoned against our President. Obama is trying to correct and change the disaster the Bush/Cheney administration created and got away with. No one was screaming as the country was falling off the cliff. It's irresponsible not to see the conscious or unconscious racism involved here. It is dangerous to ignore it or pretend it does not exist. What should be ignored are the lies against the President and reform.

SPLC is one of the most insane organizations ever to be run as a private entity. Its leader is an arrogant presumptive ne'er do well and replaces facts and logic with myth and presumption at every turn. When I met Randy Weaver in Little Rock 10 or more years ago.He was not the wild eyed zealot SPLC would have people believe. And when I read Randy's book it was outrageous to know how badly people get demonized by a private snitch org. Like SPLC. They owe the US reparations for all their past slander and it would be a disservice for any News Org. to give them too much attention or airtime.

Anderson I believe that it is up to people like yourself to help control the media storm that has taken place. America is in another transitional period in history. In the beginning there was always turmoil amongst whites and non-whites, Jews and anti-Semites, liberals and conservatives. However, with the introduction of a half-black President at the helm this thing is definitely about race. Extreme right wingers are at their boiling point and the use of political policy as their platform. Rush Limbaugh and your former colleague Glenn Beck are creating a media frenzy and fueling this phenomenon. Therefore, it is up to you and others to use your journalistic oath to promote and adhere to a more non-bias approach. I have watched the last administration set the stage for this coming disaster. I being a moderate, believes that this country has come a long way from the ignorance of racial divide and strongly encourage any debate of racial and political tension to be debated by your media position. Just as CNN used the debates in the election your company should be using those same media stages to give the people a voice, so that violence does not take place in our society. Education and communication is the key formula for improving this country. I being a communications graduate from the University of Alabama have experienced first hand the right wing political ideology that is currently taking place. Views are skewed by generations of racial tension and fear mongering of the past. I am concerned with the government taking on some socialistic forms of change, however this did not occur by just democrats alone. Republicans have taken socialistic forms of policy through out the past decades as well. We must ensure balance. We are a melting pot society, and there is entirely too many people planning and communication of revolution. Its everywhere. It has become water cooler conversation and busting out of the seams, so to speak.

I voted for the current administration, but it was not my firm belief that a half black or half white President was appropriate for the time. However, given the situation, I believe that Democrats are either downplaying the seriousness of the issue or they are out of touch with what is real. They all are. I am 35 years old and have never heard so much rhetoric about revolution on television, at local bars, or even in the workplace. Even though I am originally from the South, I currently live on the west coast. My biases are well constrained and take a more moderate idealistic point of view. The negative communication is everywhere and its racially motivated shadowed by political fears of a socialistic government. I believe that the Democrats are pushing for policies that are fueling the divide, because of the last administrations incoherence and incompetence. Therefore, this dissension could possibly mean a loss in 2010 and 2012, because of the right wings ability to create the fear mongering machine. The conservatives are laughing at this frenzy and see it as opportunity to regain control. I just really don't understand the philosophy of racial supremacy. Why has that phenomenon still lingering in the hearts and minds of mankind. This tells me that we are still an ignorant and intolerable people. We should be promoting and stimulating the growth humanity instead of trying to destroy it. The thermodynamics of the situation looks grim and I encourage for you to look deeper into this subject and what harbors this behavior in individuals. Our country desperately needs to understand. I find it easy for a person from the outside looking in on what could result from all this. I am considered white by non-racists and non-white to racists, so I have an interesting point of view on our current situation. My skin color is brown, but I was raised by white Irish from Alabama. My fathers family were Eastern Europeans that migrated to the U.S. over a century ago. I do not consider myself of any race and do have a conscious fear that in my life time I will see some form of revolutionary proportions take place in U.S. I am one of probably many Americans who have no specific affiliated group to gravitate to. I see this as fuel before the flame and I am waiting for some group or political action to spark the flame. You are a positive light who is gifted and could definitely influence a positive outcome for all of our future. Please take heed make hast and may we conquer our dilemmas as Americans.

Color has nothing to do with it! Its all about "Big Brother", white, black, brown, or yellow. Government needs to return rule back to the people and not corporations and special interests! I believe what Americans fear is Anarchy and a dictatorship.

I blame the GOP, Republicans, Right Wing Conservatives, Glen Beck, Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh, and Bill O'Reilly for making this type of behaviour a fad and allowing it to seem ok to race bate and hate. SPL has to record hate groups like this because people like Adolf HItler tried to exterminate the Jewish race and any non-white humans. The Clan has been around and allowed to murder thousands of innocent Blacks for generations and the idea that blacks are 8 times more likely to commit crimes against just feel apart with this entire article. It's about hate groups, white supremist who hurt and kill blacks in an effort to cleanse the world and leave only their so called master race. That's why reports for SPL are VERY IMPORTANT. No way in hell is slavery going to happen or segreation, or jim crow or holocust again!!!!

Why is it that whenever racist attack and crime is written about in media, its only the white supremist ? What about the majority of crime which are back on white as documented by the DOJ record ? I am an Asian, but am still disgusted by the biasness of the mainstream media.

Yeah there's alot of negativity in the world but that's when we all should band together and tough the hard times out...I'm against all the radical beliefs but I won't hate anybody just because they hate me...I will defend me and mine but I will never instigate or start anything...
I wish people would see that we're all in this together...we all live on one planet under one sky, moon, and sun...Why can't we all get along and live and let live?

With all the progress we've made, there's apparently still a bunch of entitled, dumb, angry bigots who refuse to evolve along with the rest of us.

Don't be afraid of these idiots. Stupid aggressive people can only go so far..........And bigotry ALWAYS loses in the end.

COWARDS. Lack of education, ignorance is what makes a Rascist what heor she is. These people can't take responsibility for their own situations so they look at others in order to deflect what would surely be a person who FAILED, not because someone else did something to you or because if their weren't blacks, mexicans, hispanics, Jews they would do better.

The truth is that they would fail anyway among thier own kind. Whites don't compete with minoritiesfor jobs and educational opportunity. They compete in the work place and in school with each other. Miniorities on the other hand do compete with whites and with other minorities for jobs and education.

I have to agree with Miranda... This country's people, foolishly naive, are turning away from the 'good and decent' things that made United States great amongst the rest of the World... The U.S. fought and defeated the greatest evil the World's ever seen... But, for many years now, that same seed of hatred has been nurtured in U.S. soil!... Along with the condoning of so many social and behavioral illnesses, the future can only be dismal...

All the above pale in comparison with the organized mass slaughters carried out by governments convinced of their own righteousness, with the worst offenders being those of the "anti-fascist" cast.

Killing innocents is always wrong, but being anti-government is not an unreasonable default setting, in light of bloody history.

Racist right group should go back to germany if they don't like America, the flag, and it's people. The United States is a melting pot. There is no perfect person we just get along. United what does that word mean – (To join, comine, or incorporate so as to form a single whole or unit).

It's all about these nutjobs not being able to deal with a Black man in the highest position in the country and, in effect, "lording over them". Also their belief that Obama will make sure that non-whites will occupy all positions of power, thus knocking the white man off his "God-given and rightful" place in the universe.

A few minutes ago while channel surfing I HAD TO STOP on the Fox News Channel- my jaw dropped! There was a commercial for a GUN COMPANY/CATALOG on. I NEVER in my 41 years seen a commercial on tv promoting guns/rifles. At the end of the commercial the voicer said to visit your local gunstore. I believe the company's name was "Henry"

We only have this one life, if we screw up this one, there is no second chances. Be conscious of your actions, you never know how it will affect the lives of others. America is an awesome country, so much has tried to divide us over the years. We must stop with the distractions and focus on improving our country as "A People" or we will end up China's b*tch.

Umm...Let's see. Fundalmental Islam has killed about 3000+ Americans, and we're worried about these guys. While they're at it, maybe the SPLC can look into why Blacks are 8 times more likely to commit violent crimes against Whites than Whites against Blacks.

This is scary. It leaves me with a mental image of a group of people who believe in conspiracy theories revolting to ensure that their interpretation of the Constitution is what rules the day – free speech, etc. will only be allowed to those who agree with them and not to everyone which is what our founding fathers intended. i wonder what John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin, George Washington, etc. would think of all this – I think they would be horrified. I know I am.
