Editor's Note: In early June Anderson spoke to the families of Laura Ling and Euna Lee, American journalists detained in North Korea. A couple of days later, Ling and Lee were sentenced to 12 years in prison on charges of entering North Korea illegally. Former President Bill Clinton is in North Korea, unannounced, to negotiate their release.

I am so thrilled for these two families of these girls! I know they are happy and just cant wait to see them! I can only imagine of how it is to not be in touch with them and know what they are doing or how there health is doing. I just pray that nothing like this ever happens again with the two. I hope that nothing will seperate the family ever again. They surely didn't deserve all this time away from there families. There jobs are very dangerous and you do have to know that there are things that can happen as they have seen for them selves. I will pray for there safe return to there families from where they took off and to where they land back in the USA!
QUICK: Finally some wonderful news on the landscape! What a relief-
and who says Bill and Hilary can't be a class act? Must be fun for AC and the inimatable Randy to report some good news-even if they are all dealing with creeps- not the journalists ! (Oh, and yeah Sweden-and Obama, and the State Depts. Could they give lectures on negotiations??? WR
How fabulous that the girls are coming home!!! I don't even know them but I was so worried about them and for the 12 years they had ahead of them... Thank god for America!!!

Thank you again!!!
I would like to say that i am happy for both families these past few months must have been horrendous for them. I am sure the two women will be home soon.Thank you former President Clinton, and thank you President Obama for the discreet way this situation has been handle.
I'm super happy for Laura & Euna's Family! I'm super happy they are on their way home! Good going Bill & all those who where involved!
Anderson, when you have Lisa on the show, tell her how happy we are for all of them.
mr cooper : I am glad your journalists are free after admitting guilt ,what a " compassionate " (LOL) country N. Korea is. Now how about the U.S showing compassion to those in Guantanamo being held for years without charges and against the rules of war . PS i think Americans hiking anywhere in the world should be able to read a map.
Anderson, according to Rick Sanchez, the ladies have received a pardon and are to be allowed to return home. Is this correct? I sincerely hope so!

My husband & I feel so horrible about Laura Ling & Euna Lee
being held in North Korea. I can't even imagine what
they must be going through & I fear for them. This is a
horrible time for there families too everyday wondering are
they o.k. But what I would like to say to any reporter I
would stay away from all of these countries. Iraq, & that
whole situation. Also North Korea I would stay away from
these people they do not like the United States & it's not worth
risking or taking a chance of risking your life for these
countries. My prayers are with Laura Ling & Euna Lee & there
families. I pray they come home safely. The United States
needs to get seriously involved in getting them back
home to the United States. Sincerely, Marie
