Hope you're having a nice Monday night. Here's what's on our radar: Could Pres. Obama have to back away from his promise of no new taxes for the middle class? Plus, a custody decision regarding Michael Jackson's children, but questions remain over his estate.

Let's put number into perspective. The entire war spending to date is about $700 billion. That's less than has been spent in just the TARP bill. You can't blame the deficit entirely on defense spending. In fact, non-defense entitlement spending dwarfs defense spending by 2:1. Stop the 'giveaways' and you stop the deficit.

Everyone is wondering why Dr. Klein went to court today. I really believe he is the father of at least Prince 1. Try putting photos of the Klein and Prince Michael #1 side by side and see what I mean. I also believe that Michael may have wanted someone to ensure that if his children became ill they would receive proper medical attention. In case you are not aware, Jehovah's Witnesses do not accept blood transfusions and do not celebrate holidays. They have other differences that Michael may not have wanted his children subject to. I know that he trusted his mom to care for his children but her religious beliefs may not allow her to care for the children as Michael would have when it comes to certain issues. I think the court should have appointed someone to keep an eye on mommy dearest as well.

If Michael had "lupus", and is the biological father of any of the three children, it is possible that their medical care could be compromised by Katherine's religious beliefs.

I hope Former President Clinton's quest is successful. Euna and Laura are fantastic journalists and human beings and deserve to come home, rather than be subject to fictitious charges (which, to be fair, are as imaginative as any other N. Korean press release).

How come they keep saying Debbie Rowe did not get any money for the kids when she will still get spousal support and her ex spouse is no longer alive? Michaels will is not being followed when he purposely stated his ex-wife is to receive no money. So she gets it by making a deal with the Jacksons to keep her spousal support going in exchange for the kids. Michael would be rolling over in his grave if he was in one!

The malaria parasite actually came from snakes. Why? Snakes are very evil according to the bible so malaria is obviously a parasitic snake.

Thank your guests for telling like it is . I just cant believe the total selfish hiedenistic attitude of so many people. WE have OUR SONS and DAUGHTERS being killed and or maimed in foreign lands. DO they whine about their circumstance. HELL No,they do it Proudly with a smile . So WHEN taxes have to be raised, and they will . I will do it . In the same PATRIOTIC WAY!!!!!!!!!

    Re: Michael Jackson

Should have discussed with your legal analysts the fact that Katherine Jackson does not want to be an executor but a trustee. Surprising that you didn't mention that there IS in fact a trust. The will is governed by the trust. Your legal panel should have watched Larry King......

Debbie Rowe was screwed over years ago!! She was married to and had kids with one of the wealthiest entertainers around and she walked away with only $8 mil. and no kids??? Paul McCartney had to pay out $50 mil.!!! Madonna paid out $60 mil.!! In comparison Debbie should get a lot more than she did!

Yes, Mr. Clinton is going to N. Korea. Since he treated N. Korea with respect when he was in office (whether you agree he should have or not) maybe he will recived a positive response.

I pray he is able to rescue the two American women from that country.

I also pray that somebody will be able to rescue the 3 Americans in Iran too

I don't mean to be insensitive but i don;t understand why these people go to these dangerous areas to treck or explorer...first you have the North Korea Lisa and Laura – then you have these other guys at the border of Iran – trecking in Iraq. These are dangerous areas – i don't get why these people go there in the first place knowing the dangers involved – even possibly death. Sorry but i don't get it.

I believe that Michael Jackson did not name his mother as executor of his estate because he did NOT want his father's hands on his money ( did not want his father's influence or control over his money that is primarily left for his children). He could not trust his mother to exclude his father's influence had he named his Mom the executor.

@David Gergen: Repealing the ill-advised and completely political Bush tax cuts will be necessary, but puh-lease don't call this financial mess the Bush/Obama mess. Bush made it. Obama's only been in office for a few months. 8 years of damage vs. 7 months of trying to clean it up by borrowing money are not equal problems at all.

I think that as far as the doctor is concerned that treated Jackson's skin condition, his wanting to be a part of the Jackson kids lives is all about getting some of the JACKSON MONEY.

Hi Erica, Randi Kaye, Isabel, everyone. Sorry I'm late, running a bit behind here. Is Anderson in South Africa?

I think it's unusual that Michael Jackson's dermatologist wanted to be a part of the custody? (sorry not a custody hearing as Jeffery Toobin pointed out) Michael Jackson's children's upbringing today. Any chance he's just deeply concerned and wants to be helpful?

Nice to see the record sales surging. Wonder what would have happened if he had performed those concerts in London.

It's great to see that attention is being paid to malaria–one of the major killers in the African continent. While malaria nets are important, a vaccine (if possible) would be even more effective.

Barck Obama would not have had to raise taxes if the Illegal Iraq war did not sap our resources since 2003 so dont blame Obama for the soaring deficit. Cngratulations to Erica Hill for your splendid performance for the hour. David Gergen is right Obama will need to raise taxes only next year or the year after. It is all because of the Iraq war and the collapse of thee ocnomy since Lehman which we have Bush to blame.

    Hello Anderson,

Re: Michael Jackson... anyone can be a sperm donor and anyone can donate eggs... As parents of an adopted son, I'm infuriated that these people can come out of the woodwork and claim charges to Michael's children. The Jackson Family is the only family these children know... to take them away and introduce these strangers as 'family' is absurd! Were they their when the kids were having bad dreams? When they scraped their knees? No, why claim to be something that they are clearly not?!! It takes a lot of loving to be parents... and I mean decent parents that do things with their children... putting them in sports, music, reading to them every night... to be there when needed. These people coming out now to claim these children are nothing short of predators. Out for themselves and not the best interest of these beautiful children. They need to stay with the only family they know and that is with the Jackson's. Give us all a break... these children are hurting... they just lost the only "Daddy" that they have known all their lives.

God Bless Michael Jackson, his children and his family.

Sincerely, Brenda, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.

    Hey Erica,
Doing a great job tonite. I think that Summers talk about way to reduce deficits by taxes on the middle class not being off the table was a trial balloon and might be some discord between summers and Geitner. Geitner's point was that we have to focus on getting deficit down. Love to hear the Repubs complaining about spending. Talk about short term memory loss. Where were they when they had control of congress?

@starr--it's pretty standard in LA Family Court for parents to split kids' medical care 50/50.

I wonder if Dr. who may or may not have given sperm to father MJ's kids will now be willing to pay child support? I just want all bloggers to know that only a tiny percentage of Los Angeles residents are like these celebrities. Sheesh.

    Mike said
Obama inherited the debt. The deficits however are much larger under his watch than Bush’s, and will be over $1 trillion each year for a decade.

I agree that President Obama inherited debt, but we also had deficits under Bush as well. The costs of both wars were kept off the books so as to make sure that the finances of the country looked much better than it was. President Obama is not using these gimmicks to make our financial forecast look better , on the contrary he is being HONEST about it which is more than can be said of our former president. Deficit spending on the people of the United States in order to shore up our economy is acceptable and to be honest we see that it is working even Sen. McCain said so yesterday! Let's talk about the fact that President Bush inherited a surplus and squandered it as well as ran up huge debt and Deficits!

Hi Erica! During all of the continuing debates about what needs to be done, what needs to be spent, and where is the money going to come from, the one thing I never hear about is the prospect of spending a bit more on "spending oversight" in general. The spectacular amount of tax money "flushed" by incredibly wasteful government spending would most certainly fund a large percentage of what's needed!

We (family & friends) are very happy that Ms. Rowe has, so far, been vindicated from being the "greedy" woman that everyone thought she was.

We felt that she might well have had genuine interest in her children, especially because MJ was gone. We also think that she was concerned about Joe J. having anything to do with her children's upbringing.

It is interesting to note, that Ms. Rowe is Splitting the bill for a child psychologist to help introduce her to them.

I only wish the middle class will get a break. I see us being squeezed between the very wealthy running away with as much money as they can get and the many who professionally utilize our system. It could be due to living in Southern California...I am experiencing this!
