The Democrats voted for Franken as Senator and now asking Maher what he thinks about a Republican governor. Obviously they don't have anyone else's opinion who they look up to!
First of all who cares what Bill Maher thinks. Isn't he just a pawn of the Democratic Party. Anderson I used to like you as a reporter, now you also have become an Ad. man for the Democratic Party. Your show says it keeping them honest, give me a break. You ask questions to these guys and when they side step the answer you let them get away with it. By the way I am a registered Democrat.
I agree with Bill – as long as the Republicans remain clueless, Sarah Palin has a future with them. Scary, isn't it? Personally I believe she is a lightweight, all flash and no substance. I have never been able to follow her speeches, never mind being able to understand them. I can only hope and pray she fades into obscurity fast. Her 15 minutes of fame have long passed. We need leaders who actually know what they're doing!
Bill does criticize Obama. And takes some heat for it.

Folks, Bill was being INTERVIEWED. He answered the questions asked of him. As to why Palin is in the news, she just resigned. When a Governor resigns, it is a newsworthy event.
Personally I think Palin is a dimwit. However as mentioned above,it is a news item when a sitting governor resigns.
Agree with Maher completely. Sarah gives me a headache when she speaks and I have to listen intently to figure out what the heck she is talking about. I'm a conservative and wish her well but I've had enough of Sarah. Thanks.
He DID rip Obama a few weeks ago, called him too much of a celebrity, it was actually pretty well covered by the media. His career still stands.

I just have a question. Does anyone know if she actually returned all the Neiman Marcus clothes for herself and her family they received during the presidential campaign with John McCain? Remember her speeches that they were "like the stage lights" that were "just props" and would be returned after the campaign? As long as she puts herself in the public spotlight there will be negative commentary, and it is deserved.

The tiny starlet is probably Ashley Judd, hardly a starlet but a well established actor, who appeared in a PSA for Defenders of Wildlife opposing Palin for supporting of the aerial killing of wolves in Alaska.

Wow..."this stupid country?" Really? That's how he wants to discuss his political views, by criticising the country?...Besides that, why is he wasting his time talking about somebody that resigned? She isn't a governor anymore and furthermore I doubt she'll get a nomination when the time comes anyway. Don't waste air time this way anymore Bill, because that's all it is, a waste of time. What do people see in Maher? It amazes me that anyone cares what he has to say. Does anyone? Actually I can't believe I just wasted over 2 minutes of my time listening to him. She is so much more in touch with real people and understands people then he ever will. I wish people like him would leave her alone. She just is a threat to the things he is for and that scares him.

Maher is a professional comedian, and Palin as a professional politician is fair game. So, those of you who keep whining about Maher "picking on Palin", need to realize that he has every right to criticize her statements and her actions and expose her hypocrisy, idiocy, and general lack of knowledge. Knowing about the issues and having a cogent opinion should have been a given –as a potential VP. If she's going to continue on with her political life and MAKE MILLIONS with her rhetoric, then she needs to be held accountable for her words and actions.
As a woman who worked extremely hard throughout my life, I'm tired of her trying to equate "populism" with intentional ignorance and outright racism. There are plenty of poor and middle class people who have absolutely NOTHING in common with the Palins. She, like so many Republicans, just use her "country hick act" and hunting photo ops to fool and manipulate the most vulnerable citizens in our country. It's absolutely disgusting. Grow a conscience, Sarah. Go back to Wasilla, and leave the rest of the country to the grownups...
Congrat, Bill, I'm your FAN, You've been absolutely awesome as always. Of course, many people don't like you, they are not nearly up to your level of intelligence, awareness and lucidity.
I believe that the remarks by Maher were in response to Wolfe's questions. That's his opinion. Besides, Maher can take care of himself quite well. If you know anything on the guy, he picked himself back up from being "gone in 60 seconds" after his 9/11 remarks. And he still doesn't apologize for it. Not saying that he should, and not saying that he's right either.
He's a funny guy, but more importantly educated. He's very well versed with what is going on and I like listening to his point of view. I don't always agree with him, but on this one, I think he's probably right. She's has to focus if she wants to go any further. She always appeared so scattered. Also, to get presidency she needs to be able to speak to everyone and to stop catagorizing people ie, Joe six pack, hockey mom's etc. Even in her exit speech, she catorgorized all of Hollywood with the example of one starlet. In a day and age when so many are trying to pull people together, I think she'd be smart to stop pulling them apart.

Card carrying member of the NRA here. Unfortunately I don't think guns are used appropriately hanging out of helicopters to shoot defenseless wolves. Palin is just disappointed that the only refuge she has is being a politician instead of the Hollywood Starlet she really longs to be – she's got the drama down pat, unfortunately she just isn't pretty enough to stand near Angelina.

you know at one time i used to like bill maher, but his extreme beliefs have changed my attitude towards this man...his movie sure died real quick...i just dont know why the media continues to hound this woman, unless they feel just plain scared of her...she is just an average person in the political arena that cares about this country, unlike the washington in crowd...we need more average people in office that plain give s__t about this country and not their own ambitions....

I think the fan above made a good point, take guns, killing of other humans, killing animals out of movies and see what happens.I know animals are not really killed in movies , but the impression given too the public including children is real.
I'm no fan of Sarah Palin but he seems like he is attacking someone just to get attention– there is no real foundation for what he's saying and I find it interesting he says "I wouldn't put anything past this stupid country." Does he really think that comment is going to get him any clout? I'm not impressed by this at all.

I'd like to know what starlet she is referring to as well. And Bill is right – Hollywood has been good to guns – not only have they used them in hundreds of films but Charlton Heston was head of the NRA for quite a while and kept gun issues and the constitutional right to bear arms dominant in all his speeches.
