Read "Tom Sawyer" and "Huckleberry Finn"!! The "N" word is used, and it will infuriate u to no end. Well, if you are a racists it won't. And when Slave Escapee Jim bleeds while traveling down the MISSISSIPPI river...I would hope it would open ur eyes. Written by Mark Twain(White, from the South), over a 100 yrs ago, he saw the light. As did our founding Father's. This may be crude, but I can breed any female human on Earth. That makes them the same as I. Human!! I can't breed a dog, a horse, a whale, an ape, or a chimp..or any other animal. Yea, I can hear the jokes already! I can give you my blood, my organs..to save ur life. Deal with it! I'm white, blonde, blue eyed, and male. I'm married to a woman of color, and all her parts seem to be in just the right places!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Those that are helping, that have made it are doing
what they love to do, what they need to do, what history
has told them to do........

OK. I'm sitting here watching Black in America and I'm diggin watching the kids go to South Africa until they get there and the home they're visiting in the young lady is talkng about not having any food while the camera pans around her home and you see the flat screen.
Unintentionally that spoke volumes about what we do as a people. Our priorities are out of whack!
I am an Africa American or better put it an African. I have watched and listened to documentaries or programs about blacks in the America which is very good. What I also noticed is that we continue to talk about America like it is about only blacks and whites. I think we also need to talk more about other minorities in America who also go through most if not everything we black people go through. I would like to see more light shine on Latinos, Asians, Hispanics, American Indians and all other minority groups in America.
In short, while it is good to air Black In America, I think it is also a good thing to do similar documentaries that would include all other minorities. For some reasons, I think these other minorities feel left out. This can also help shine lights on some of these groups and bring us all together because we all have something or a lot in common. For example, it I was a latino watching the documentary Black In America, it would not have a greater impact like it would if latinoes were inclusive. As we all know, we quiclky identify stories that are part of our own race or ethnic group than others. This is just my opinion and I am sorry if I offend anyone.
I sincerely hope that this documentary will be watched by a majority of Americans, especially those who believe that racism is dead!
To my knowledge I have never seen a program on CNN about Hispanics in America, & Asians in America, etc. Correct me if I'm wrong please. I just wonder why everything just seems so black and white in this country.
