Tonight we’re following the latest in the double-murder of Melanie and Byrd Billings, a Florida couple known in their community for adopting special-needs children. The Billings were shot to death in their nine-bedroom home last week. The investigation has been heating up.

@Isabel, I think Michael Jackson's life might've been different if he had not suffered those burns. I wish that had been more in the forefront of the public's view of him

Thanks Tom Foreman for the humorous pts of news bulletint tonight.

very interesting about the shark-attack victims. those are the ones that know they share space with other things on this planet, and respect it. it is the other ones who think that everything that comes across their path needs to be either dominated or destroyed. sharks just are what they are.

my brother is working in Florida at an airport so he got some time off and went to see the shuttle launch. he said it was the coolest thing he'd ever seen =]

i'm actually not surprised those shark-attack victims are vouching FOR the sharks. sharks are graceful, beautiful, amazing creatures and just because a few attack humans doesn't mean that ALL of them deserve to become extinct. i think by these people coming forward it's REALLY bringing attention to the issue.

I watch your show everynight and you are so calming amidst all the stories of crisis. I enjoyed your interview with Obama in Africa, I taped it for my middle schooler to watch and what a history lesson that was.

I also appreciate all the Michael Jackson coverage you've had over the last couple of weeks. He was such a musical genius and his life was so out of this world. I can't relate to him on any level and I find it all fascinating and heartwrenching, thank you for sharing so much about him on your show.

The images from Iraq are heartbreaking, a reminder of how lucky we are to enjoy relative safety in practicing religion domestically.
