AC360° Writer

We have breaking news on the death of Michael Jackson. A nurse who was treating him is speaking out tonight. She tells the Associated Press that Jackson desperately wanted a powerful IV anesthesia drugs months ago. The drug is Diprivan. She says she rejected his demands. Then just days before Jackson died she said she got a frantic call from Jackson's staff and she feared somehow Jackson got Diprivan or another drug to help him sleep. We'll have all the details.

There's also word tonight that Jackson's 2002 will has surfaced. Keep in mind others may exist. We'll talk about the legal challenges tied to Jackson's death with the family's team of lawyers.

And in other news, there's are new confessions from South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford. He tells the AP he "crossed the line" with a handful of women other than his Argentine mistress over the years, but never had sex with them. He also describes his mistress as his soul mate. Though, he says he's trying to fall back in love with wife.

And, U.S. troops moving out of Iraqi cities ahead of a midnight deadline. Today for the first time in six year Iraqis, not Americans, were in charge of securing in their streets. It's all part of an agreement signed last year by former President George Bush calling for all U.S. forces to leave Iraq by the end of 2011. We'll look over the costs and gains of the war in Iraq.

Join us for these stories and more starting at 10pm ET.

Enjoyed watching the Jackson lawyer smack AC about this interview. He was spot on and AC deserved it for this kind of "journalism".

To everyone saying what about HIPPA and confidentiality rights.... I think possible murder or manslaughter might supercede those two things.

Why is she speaking out now? Simple. She didnt know if he ever got the drug. She warned him. Now she sees that someone might have gotten it for him and we see the end result. She wants to make sure that particular drug wasnt in his system. She must speak for her own peace.

To everyone wanting the coverage to end: I think we can cover MJ for a few weeks for the four decades of enjoyment he brought most of us. And I think if we dont try to uncover the truth of his passing NOW, we might never get full closure for his kids and family.

By the way: we know MJ probably had a will, but did he have a Life Insurance Policy? I'm wondering if somehow his estate, properties and insurance couldn't somehow cover all his debts at his passing?

I would question this nurses credibility. First off she should have reported to whatever agency or doctor she worked under that Michael was begging/requesting such a serious drug. It's her duty.I'm not doubting the request took place because it seems condusive to past behaviours from Mr. Jackson who had asked others to obtain drugs for him. By all accounts from those closest to him he had a problem with prescription drugs and years ago did go into rehab. But, if she was really concerned it seems deplorable that she would wait to after he has died to come forward. As far as the doctor that stayed over at his house, I believe he did give Michael something and stayed the night to watch over him. I believe that the incident took place earllier in the morning than reported. I think his family was called in and they decided how they wanted to "handle the situation". The 9-11 caller just blew the story by accident by telling the dispatcher that Michael was on the bed..a question maybe they had not planned on answering because of all people a cardiologist would know to put a patient on a hard surface to adminstor CPR. Something just doesn't add up. Hopefully the toxicology test will put all these questions to rest. I don't know that it's the public's right to know but, it is definately important for the family. And the family seems to care very much and respect his fans so I believe they will go public with the truth.

Michael should be honored for his talent and love he shared with the world. His children (and they are HIS children) deserve to see their father respected and put to rest with dignity, respect and honor just as any of us would want for a family member of our own. Michael was indeed a troubled genuis but, he's not around to defend himself anymore. And God knows the years and countless times he had to defend himself took it's toll on him.Do we want to tarnish his legacy by smearing him even more, his children some day will be privy to all the media hype and accusations.Think of them.

My deepset condolences to his mother Katherine ,his children and his siblings for this great loss. May God and you for each other find the strength to get you through this most difficult time. R.I.P. Michael, your out of pain now and noone can ever hurt, abuse or exploit you any further. Thank you for the years of music, dance and entertainment you bestowed on us all. So many wonderful mememories I and millions of others have because of your sharing, loving soul. Your Legacy will always be, your love will always be and your godgiven talents will always be the greatest gift you ever shared.Blessings.............. Michelle, Alanta Ga

What is happening to CNN's news coverage? I woke up this morning to see an interview with some nurse who had serviced Michael Jackson relate her opinion on what happened to him. Is this really the lead news story of the day? Is there any support to what she has to say? What are her credentials? How many other people in Michael's wide circle of hangers-on will receive prominence on CNN for their views on what killed Michael Jackson? Please don't give these people their 15 minutes, avoid any further speculation and wait until the toxicology results are in. CNN should return to real journalism by 1) reporting factual news and 2) providing its viewers with real news stories. There's so much more important happenings out there that are not being reported or being given minimal coverage.

re: Michael Jackson's sleeping issue. No one knows what it is like to not be able to sleep. I don't mean "restless" sleeping, but actually not being able to fall asleep at all. I have been living it for 30 years. My son has the same problem. We both are the type that Nothing works. No one could EVER understand it unless they've lived it. I've tried prescription drugs, to no avail AND all the all natural sleeping remedies, to no avail. My son has given up trying. I have not. I think I have finally found a solution that is helping. This came about by accident.

It doesn't matter if Michael is biologically the father or not. He has taken care of these children from the day they was born so therefore he is their father. I am a black woman with bi-racial children and most ppl would not believe they are mine. Also I have 2 children that I am not the biological mother of but, they are my children. I have been raising them for 7 years, so they are mine. Debbie Rowe is a disgrace to motherhood. I can't see how anyone can give their children to anyone for any amount of money. She do not deserve to have them. They began in the Jackson family and that's where they need to stay. I wouldn't give Debbie a dog she would probably try to sell it too.

Last night on ac360 he interviewed Michael Jackson's nurse during he asked her what was she doing at the time she received tha phone call on Sunday and did she follow up she said "no because she was at the HOSPITAL her self cause she did not feel well". Ok now correct me if I am wrong on her interview this morning with American Morning when she was asked again what she was doing at the time when she recieved hat phone call on that sunday she said "I was in florida at a MEDICAL CONVENTION".... I am just asking is there anyone else that caught these two very different explanation. ......please listen and replay the two interviews

In life, he was a tortured soul, and in death, he is no less assaulted by the self-righteous, judgmental, holier-than-thou media that hounded him. Enough already, Anderson. I thought you were better than those vultures who circled endlessly on the morsels of the dead. The man was not perfect, and last I checked, neither are you or me. So PLEASE! He suffered enough in this lifetime, let him rest in peace. Let his children live in peace. They have done nothing to deserve your scrutiny into their conception.

The media are buzzing around like flies around manure.

there is a limited amount of factual information to report on so they give airtime and column inches to anybody who comes forward with their next rumour.

I'm not saying the nurse isn't being honest, but I'm saying the media should show more respect, integrity and intelligence than to do what they have been doing for the last few days. One UK paper even printed their own fake autopsy on the front page!

Since when has it been acceptable to pre-empt the news before it happens? What's wrong with waiting for the news to take it's course? Can't the press wait for the autopsy before reporting about it?

for years we have endured stories telling us Mike's broke. Well it turn out he was in the black to the tune of at least $200million. Stories about him needing a lung transplant, having an MRSA infection, sleeping in oxygen chambers, buying the elephant man's bones, putting a voodoo curse on Stephen Spielberg. All these things were false.

Michael Jackson should be allowed to rest in peace.

Michael Jackson's seeking sleep medications could have been related to opiate detoxification and or discontinued use of a particular type of opiate. Sleep deprevation will occur for a period of time after a prolonged use of an opiate narcotic. Individuals who are detoxing from opiate normally will be prescribed a a depressant type medication to aid in their sleep. Michael if he were addicted and or abusing opiate, would probably found it neccessary to discontinue use of opiates because of his upcomming concert tour. Lack of sleep can cause serious problems during deteox periods, both physically and psychological. During these periods, individuals can be severely affected with daily living, such as work and family. High profile individuals because of publicity will seek to address to problems underground. This would explain his calling the nurse, in spite of the fact he had not spoken to him for over two months. It is not uncommon for doctors who prescibe opiate medicans for long periods of time to drop patients who find themselves addicted and are attempting quit or detox. This could bring attention from primarily state pharmacy licensing boards.
It appears Michael was reaching out for help, but seeking the wrong type of help, such as attempting convince his medical contacts to prescribe a quick fix type solution to his drug dependency if he indded was addicted. Individuals who decide to quit drugs often do not realize the process is very slow and painful. Michael appeared to have need money quickly. I am certain he was advised to his concert until he had addressed his drug problems in an appropriate manner. From all accounts he was not responding to advice. His nurse and other friends and associates warned he and his family of possible consecuences for not listening to appropriate medical advice.
I have some expertise and experience relating to drug depedency. I have beed wrking in the drug dependency and MH feild as a Chemical dependency director and counselor for over 30 yers.

Why is who that biological father/mother of MJ's children any of your/CNN's business? That lady reporting with you said that she was hoping Debbie Rowe would clear some of this for you.....under what obligation is it of hers to make it clear to the media?

Secondly, Anderson you say you hate to talk about the children, but yet that doesn't stop....and given your own upbringing, I would especially think that you would leave the children out of it.

Just remember this Anderson, some day your number will be up, should be demand answers from your family about all of their controversies upon your death?

    Hello,

As far as I am concerned, Michael Jackson was a very nice man. I am his BIG BIG fan. Lots of confusion is going on regarding his case. Asking for a medicinal drug is not a sin. I agree with 'linda page' that these days many people are purchasing drugs. People think that they will gain satisfaction only by using these drugs and so they ask for it. And in doing so, I don't think that Michael Jackson did anything wrong.
Michael Jackson was the most gentle creature on this earth. He loved children and I don't believe in any of the accusations that are being made against him. I truly love him and will always love him.
His songs are a source of comfort for all of us. Just listen to his lyrics and one will find that there is a message hidden for us in all of his songs. I really miss him and I just keep listening to his songs.

I am really thankful to 360 and CNN for providing all the updates regarding this case. I want to request that keep updating us but on the other side, I really want Michael Jackson to rest in peace and this can be done if his private life is not made public. I, myself, am very confused. On one side, I want to know everything about this case. I want all investigation to be carried out so that it can be proved that Michael Jackson was a nice person but on another hand, I want him to rest in peace. But really, thank you Mr Cooper and CNN for such a remarkable update.

    Thank YOu

!! That nurse Lee refered that dr to Michael to give him that medicine. The police need to pull all there phone records and they will see the conections. That's why they called her days before. They panicked and wasted to much time before calling 911 for him.

I think M.J. was a very loving person like my little brother was, that's why he spent time with everyone, race, age ect. didn't make a diference to this man. I think the only mistake he made was when he hung the baby out the window and I blame the prescription drugs for that one little error I think people were just after his wealth.

Who cares how he died. I think the world is slandering his name and legacy after his death enough. I hope the family never releases the real cause of death. Why didn't the media put this much emphasis on finding the killers of Tupac Shukur and Christopher Wallace?

Every news station is subject to ratings and tries to please its audience, but I object to the order of your stories on Anderson 360 June 30th. While I don't understand or agree with the hype surrounding Michael Jackson's money and personal life, I can respect the fact that other people find it more interesting than I do. However, leading the news with this story and following it with news of withdrawal from Iraq displays a very skewed sense of priorities. If the King of Pop is more important than six years of war and the 4319 service men and women we have lost to it, then we are surely off course as a country. I hope the order of material presented does not accurately reflect America's values.

A call placed can be verified.

I can't imagine why anyone would want to reveal Michael Jackson is not a biological or legally adoptive father. You can't force a man to support children if he doesn't have any. I would leave those children with Michael's family and as they say "leave well enough alone". I'd respect his wishes and they will be just fine.

I just want to know did my Michael know Jesus? We all know that this is not the last of his life were is he going to spend eternity. What does it prosper a man to gain the whole world but loose his soul. I would hate that he left a legacy here on earth but is spending his life in Hell. If we think he was in pain here what if he didn't except Jesus and he goes to hell that would be a total waste. He's dead and has had a lot of pain in his life. He has also put pain in others. Just because he put out good music will not save him.... I hope he gave his life to Christ. This question has never been asked.

Just on a general note, I think Michael endured enough abuse from the media and the general public at large. So, now that he is dead, he should be left alone. People did not respect him when he was living, which I think contributed to so much of his depression, and later resulted in his death. I am just so saddened by how people "dogged" him, and treated him as though he was not worth being human. Now that he's gone, everyone wants to talk about how wonderful he was, when just prior to his death, the majority of the public jumped on the bandwagon calling him names like "wacko jacko". My mother use to say that you should give a person their flowers in life when they are alive to smell them, and not when they are dead. People should have treated Michael better, and honored him when he was alive. Now that he is gone, he can't enjoy people honoring him and saying the kind words he wanted to hear when he was alive.

I am simply amazed that you people have nothing better to do with your time than to take shots at a MAN who devoted his life to making people happy and by the way is no longer here to defend himself. It merely expresses to the world, that the media has no real agenda other than that of exploitation, and the only thing that matters is the next big event. Michael Jackson was not an event, he was a father, a brother, an uncle and a beloved son. And he was clearly a much loved friend by many he allowed in his circle. I guess that's why you decided to bring so much negativity to weak minded bottom feeders. Because you didn't get the invite into his world, so you had to stand idly by and watch from the cheap seats. This bias coverage that is happening is nothing short of what your company and others like you are capable of bringing. Always remember that the lie you tell will be told on you someday, but it will fit your lifestyle. "Truth crushed to earth will rise again" There is something in this universe called love – Michael Jackson had it and shared it with an entire world of people that knew it – Now exactly what have you done for the world lately. That's what I thought!

The Nurse already switched her story up..earlier tonight she stated that during the phone call she pulled out her pda and read off a list of dangerous side effects to Michael over the phone. She just now stated that she was in his home when she pulled up the list of side effects on her pda and showed it to him...There is going to be alot of people saying that they heard this, Michael said this..it's ridiculous. Anything to get your face on t.v. and in the spotlight..Let the King of Pop Rest In Peace.

I grew up with Michael Jackson like millions did. A man that was interviewed This man's name i do not remember. BUT My Question is the man that was in Michaels life and was asked by Michael to give him pain killers (interviewed by CNN ) Larry King Etc. This man stated he was non responsive to perscribe Michael any meds. And in his interview stated he had grave concerns for Michaels requests. My point is.... this man also stated that he had no contact with Michael for a 3 week peirod or so after Michael's request. And that Michael ( maybe because of remorse?) had sent through HIGH SECURITY Michaels recordings of what was to be his Loundon Tour. Any idea what this man plans on doing with the private and very last gift to the world that Michael intended? All Blessings to Michaels family He will be an Angel as GOD is all knowing !!!

Your comment on weather Michael Jackson is the biological father of the children is most inappropriate at this time. It is not relevent, he has been the only father/parent they have known, you need to stop and think the DAMAGE YOU COULD DO TO THESE CHILDREN. Comments like this is more in line with the reporting by the National Inquirer, is this the image you want to present?

For some of the viewers still disturbing about Micheal's child case against him, I want to remind people that he was innocent according to the verdict. The only "wrong" thing Micheal did was that he loved children too much, he just wanted children be loved, be happy which he didn't 'have when he was a child. And that's why he made Neverland, he wanted children had fun being in Neverland. For Micheal, he just wanted to be a child again, surrounded by children, playing with children which he never had a chance when he was a kid. Those parents who sued Micheal are monsters, they were extorting Micheal. They made Micheal suffered through these years. They were one of the reason of Micheal's death mentally. They are monsters, They will go to hell. Although I don't know Micheal at all and I'm not a hugh fan of him, I really felt for him. I truely believe Micheal was innocent. He is such a great great man, so compassionate, loving human being. - Peace

Can we all just step back and be happy that we woke up this morning. I myself have been easily prescribed many painkillers at one time due to a car accident years ago but every individual has the power to just say NO and be responsible for what they put into there bodys.
He was a 50 year old man NOT a child so he is responsible for his own actions first and next in line is the dr's who gave him acess to these meds. Its the money and greed that gives these dr's a RX writing addiction themselves. Let us all pray for today for tomorrow is just a memory but the future is everyones dreams

Please, Please leave MJ alone! He had a good soul and warm heart and all he asked for in life was for everyone to get along and peace in the world. And who cares who is the bio-dad?? My Lord, how devastating to these poor children, who really loved their dad, if they found out that possibly MJ wasn't biological. How can the media be so cruel. Please leave this alone, biological doesn't make you a DAD, the person with the raising, protecting and caring is the dad and that was Michael. Hasn't media done enough to hurt Michael? Please don't hurt him anymore and especially don't hurt these children, let them be...
