it is extremely sad that michael jackson passed away! im only 13yrs. old but i loved his music an i learned alot of dance moves from him. People have talked about him in good and bad ways but overall michael was a warm hearted person. i think alot of his problems were emotional an he was very lonely. i lost my icon today but his dance moves will always be with me!!!!!

Totally shocked is all that I can say. I grew up listening to Michael born the same year as he, I followed him from childhood until today. My first 45 record was "I'll be there". I loved each and everyone of his songs. He was there for all of us for over 45 years. God Bless You Michael......you will be forever missed.

I just want to say that today the world lost one of it's greatest sons. Michael was the bright and shinning star in the sky that we all aimed to reach for whether you were an artist or not. He had an unparalleled and infectious way of making us dance. He leaves us with his memories of music, dance and his warmth for people and the world. Michael we will always Rock With You! God Bless!

No one will be able to put everything Micheal Jackson has accomplished in his life time into words. His life will not be remembered by the scandals and negitive moments because he has always lived through his music. It's sad to see someone taken from this earth as such a young person. But we see people all across the globe celebrating the life of a man who was saw the potential in the world and brought out the potential in himself. I grew up in what will hopefully not be the last generation to listen and love his music but one of many . Although not long lived his legacy will be eternal because no one will ever top of Micheal Jackson he was the greatest.

Can't believe MJ is dead, I mean, he had his own share of contraversies, but when it comes to the stage, no one will ever match him.

Hello Anderson, I am in Guyana South America. today began a very happy day for me, my mom became 56 and we cooked a wonderful meal together, then we turned on our television and almost immediately we both began to cry, at this point it was not yet confired, but we were fearful that it could be true. We said a prayer and hoped for the best. i grew up with Michael, he was and will always be a part of our family.

Farrah Fawcett deserves the tributes tonight. She fought a very tough fight and remained positive until the end. She made her fight very public to help those suffering as she was. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
I'm sad that her passing is being overshadowed.

Michael Jackson is a legend and can never be replaced. The only good that can come out of this loss is that he will finally be at peace and he will no longer need to defend himself on a daily basis. I hope his children can tell the world what a great father he was to them someday and his greatness will out-shine the controversy.

I too was born in 1958 and grew up listening to the Jackson 5 and followed Michael Jackson's Career every step of the way. One particulairly early fond memory I have is reading Archie Comic Books at my mother's hair salon while waiting with my sister, and listening to the Jackson 5 on a staticky radio nearby. I loved him then and will never stop loving his music!

It's really a shocking news for me. I grew up and MJ is part of my life...childhood to adulthood. I was a fan ever since I saw him and listened to his songs. Now I am so lucky for seeing his concert here in the Philippines. MJ is the best performer. The best singer, dancer and actor. He puts his heart and soul in everthing he does. No matter what other people say,and accuse him of negatives things, I love Michael Jackson! Rest in peace brother...you are in the safe hands of our Almighty now.- gillian from Philippines

Can we celebrate the accomplishments of Michael Jackson instead of focusing on un-proven accusations? Let the man rest in peace. The crazy thing about this society is that we like to put people on pedastals and then tear them down. We dont need to hear from detractors who want to be in the spot light. If Michael Jackson did anything that he was accused of then God will judge him.

Michael, I literally grew up with you. I was just born in 1968 when the Jacksons really began to perform. I will never forget how excited I was when the tickets to the Victory Tour were delivered to my home in the mid 80's. I thought I was going to pop. I still have that poster. You will truly be missed. There will never, ever be another Michael Jackson. The great music you blessed us with will live on. I pray that you now have the peace and acceptance you've always wanted.

    Hey, Anderson –

Have you guys heard anything about word that Michael Jackson left his rights to the Beatles' back catalog to Paul McCartney?

I read that a few minutes ago online, but haven't heard this mentioned in any respect in any of the coverage thus far.

Assuming that's true, that would have to be the ultimate act of coolness ever. Then, again, we are talking about Michael Jackson here.

The world has lost a great icon we are all saddened by Michael's passing......but we should not let Michael Jackson's death overshadow the life and legacy of Farrah Fawcett. She to was an icon in her own rite that suffered and made the public aware of her own struggle with CANCER....... She is a "real" hero to those who are figting the daily fight. God bless you, my you know you've helped many along a bumpy road....Thanks, Farrah

I keep reading and hearing people say that MJ was "one of the greatest entertainers of all time". I am not a pop music fan. But I really cannot think of anyone that surpasses him in terms of pure performanceship on stage. I suppose it is never wise to say definitively that anyone was the "greatest" at anything. But I cannot imagine any musician or singer today would take offense at the comment, "MJ was the greatest performer of all time". He was. He just was. Perhaps someday, someone else will take over that title. But not today.

I am not surprised by the news, but I am still saddened by it. I appreciate the great music that Michael contributed, but I understand that he was a very complicated individual that was dealing with some very serious personal issues. He was after all...human. I only hope that he may now rest in peace.

I not only benefitted from experiencing the early genius of Michael Jackson when he and his brothers gave a live performance at their first and only live concert in Port of Spain in the early seventies, I also had the pleasure of interviewing Michael during that historic visit to Trinidad. Even then, as a kid, his brilliant mind was already evident. Here in the Caribbean he will be sorely missed.
