Tonight on 360°, remembering the King of Pop. Family, friends and fans are shocked by the death of Michael Jackson. He collapsed at his home in Los Angeles, about noon Pacific time, suffering cardiac arrest, according to his brother Randy Jackson. He died at UCLA Medical Center. Michael Jackson was 50.

he was a legend that will be greatly missed, r.i.p michael you will be remembered by all as a great singer and a kind man. today is indeed a very sad, sad day.

750,000,000 sold! Micheal is the greatest musical artist ever in our history. Losing Michael Jackson is like losing a family friend you've known all of your life.

I just read the lyrics to Someone Put Your Hand out written by Michael Jackson and Teddy Riley. I think this song sums up Michael Jackson and all he really wanted in life. Someone to REALLY be there for him. It's a sad song. Just like Have You Seen My Childhood. Sad life for such a legend.

I met Michael when the Jackson 5 performed their first concert in Oklahoma City. He was gentle and funny. He grew to be a remakable performer. It is unfortunate that his troubles overshown his greatness in later years – but his music is what will keep him alive.
No words can express how deeply saddened I am at this tragic loss. As a musician I can say that there never has been, nor will there ever will be an artist that has influenced me the way that Michael Jackson has. What brings me comfort is the joy in knowing that his artistry and influence will live on through my work.

I am really sad that he is gone. My dad introduced him to me when I was younger and I am a big fan of Michael. I am however sad for the true fans like my friend Vinh who is taking it very hard.

Many musical personalities have commented on Michaels death. The one person I am curious of is Justin Timberlake....anyway we can get his reaction? He often wanted to be much like Michael.

I woke up late this afternoon and turn on my tv just to learn micheal is dead. at first I thought I was dreaming thinking this could not happen to him. becasue I remember he once said he wanted to live for 150 years. really sad

I am deeply saddned about MJ death. Today is my 32nd birthday and I'll never forget it. I have been a big fan through the years and always will stick by him.
I will miss Michael, l have to purchase all he and his brothers videos and music especially the earlier years. I never believed any of the negative media coverage about him – love him always

Hello Anderson, I just wanted to tell you how people think about Michael's death here in Egypt. People immediately shared sad text messages, everybody is troubled. He was/will be a great artist, he invented a style. Will always remember you; Egypt is devastated. May your soul Rest in peace.

As a green-eyed, blonde white teen girl in the 80's, I was blown away by Michael. He made black "cool" for me. I wore the jackets, danced in my bedroom and had his music on cassette/headphones as my parents took me to school. I remained a fan thru my teen and adult life and thru all the controversey in his life. And, I will remain a fan past his death as well. Here's to good times, and BAD...God Bless the Jackson Family. May you find comfort in his memory.
I heard the news when my mom called me this evening. I got a double whammy – first she said "Farah Fawcett died" and then she followed up with the news about MJ. I couldn't believe it – I feel like I thought he would be around for a long while to come, he's such a fixture in the lives of people worldwide. I grew up in Trinidad, and let me tell you, he's as well-known there as he is anywhere else. I'm sad I never got the chance to see him live – it would have been an experience to remember. I've been busting moves to Billie Jean since I could dance, and I'll definitely keep the tradition going with my own children. May he rest in peace – I truly hope he has found it now.
