Tonight on 360°, a special report. A rifle-wielding white supremacist entered Washington’s Holocaust museum on Wednesday afternoon, fatally shooting a security guard. What fuels this kind of violence? Was this an isolated incident? Who are these ‘lone wolves’ that perpetrate these hate crimes?
Scroll down to join the live chat during the program. It's your chance to share your thoughts on tonight's headlines. Keep in mind, you have a better chance of having your comment get past our moderators if you follow our rules.
Here are some of them:
1) Keep it short (we don't have time to read a "book")
2) Don't write in ALL CAPS (there's no need to yell)
3) Use your real name (first name only is fine)
4) No links
5) Watch your language (keep it G-rated; PG at worst - and that includes $#&*)
And take a look at our live web camera from the 360° studio. Watch the WEBCAM
Anderson Cooper goes beyond the headlines to tell stories from many points of view, so you can make up your own mind about the news. Tune in weeknights at 8 and 10 ET on CNN.

@starr formerly known as vincent Like Lori from IL I agree that prejuidice is fed by fear and ignorance as you said, I also feel life is always pushing to go beyond the horizons of our circumstances whatever they are to more in depth understanding of other and the world we live in.

Swine flu – that the first batch of vaccine has been produced for testing.
A great weekend! Bye...
I do not feel a killer is from the "right" side of human beings but a mental problem 4 that LONE WOLF.
P.S. Martina Ilstad Germany,
Yes, I do miss Anderson.... of course.
Anderson & team 360 , thank you for this show! It was very informative and thoughful.
The guy was old and crazy and probably hated the fact that the race war has finally come to an end in America.
People at AC360 Web design: it takes me to open four windows to get finally to the webcast and my computer runs on low virtual memory. Any suggestions?!
Fellow Bloggers - it's about that time - enjoyed the chat tonight.
(Glad I checked for the blog, since last week's "special" didn't include the opportunity to blog. Think that's why there are so few of us tonight.)
While the "specials" are interesting - I miss the live hour of news - (I think specials should be aired during the second hour - just my opinion,) Looking forward to Monday's program .....
Hope everyone has a good weekend ..... peace.....
Good night Anderson, Erica, David G, Edurrado (Ed Henry) and my friend twitter/facebook bloggers!!!!!!!
Have a great night and sleep tight everyone!!!! 😀
Have a great weekend!!!!!! See you on Monday night!
Race is very much alive, especially in bad times, people with small minds need someone to blame!!!!
So to all bloggers,Anderson far away in L.A, Erica and at least Megan i wish you a good night and a verry good weekend, from far away in Germany.
I will try to sleep again,is early in the morning here in Germany, birds start to sing.
Hope to see you next week.
@Krasi, I didn't say that the violence was excusable. I said that many of the issues are real, not just dreamed up by these guys. Fix the issues, and they lose their traction to recruit new members.
I would not like to be a roommate of the Von Brunn!
is there any such thing as 'good news' anymore? almost every story is about fear, death and mayhem. There might be 1 or 2 stories a day. thank god for CNN heros.
Please make Sarah Palin go away. Doesn't she understand that while Letterman's joke was in bad taste - it was a joke, he's a comedian - he appologized - get over it. Her carrying on is only drawing more attention to her daughter, something she claims she doesn't want. Makes me wonder what her real motive is.....
@Krasi, that's a very good point, I feel like curiosity about other cultures and ways of life as you say is one of the most enlightened pursuits that there is. Thanks for making that point.
@Isabel, You are taking up an important subject, I think that concept that are prejudiced or otherwise given to hostility or malice come to be repudiated in the Free exchange of idea that comes with a free press and laws and a society that respects the rights of the each and every person.
Good Night!
Good show Anderson. I think you are the only journalist delving into this topic and covering it in depth. I agree with your last guest. Some of the racially charged comments I saw during the campaign prove what she said. That’s why so many people of color still can’t believe President Obama got elected. America has come a long way but it has a long way to go.
@Thank you Megan Dresslar for informatin,do you miss him, too?
Sarah Palin is taking complete advantage of Letterman's joke for extra free publicity. When I heard the joke I clearly understood he was referring to Bristol, her 18 yo daughter, not Willow. Letterman himself cleared it up in his next boradcast. But she keeps on putting herself in front of the camera, milking this for all the free publicity she can get.
@ star - I too believe that it is "fear and ignorance that fed predjudices." I often experienced this during my career dealing with international students - I was constantly trying to train staff that one nationality wasn't better than the other, just different. People often have trouble understading/accepting "different."
@Mike, Syracuse, NY: the fact that there are extremists among people of every race does not excuse any action of violence or the promotion of violence, regardless of who is the perpetrator. Some of the people known for killing millions did not personally kill any of them.
good news about Modonna
I'm really glad you're doing a more in-depth show on this topic. It's really time for us all to get a wake-up call on how divided some parts of our society are.
Also really grateful for the in-depth show about abortion earlier this month. Thanks for tackling these divisive issues straight-on and openly.
@ Mike
I agree with you! The price of freedom sometimes is a crazy person abusing it. This balance is so dificult, but not impossible
Have a good weekend everyone! I'm blogging from my Blackberry,
If this nazi whants to make us scarry,we have to show them there is law and order in our free countrys,so they at least have no chance. They are what they are frusteded bad people.
