Afternoon Radar: How many others are there like him?

Hey Everyone – Here’s what’s on our radar right now:

We’re digging deeper on the shooting at the Holocaust Museum yesterday. The alleged shooter, James von Brunn, is a white supremacist, a Holocaust denier and has long been affiliated with hate groups. Who is this guy and how many others are there like him? Is it possible to prevent hate crimes - and how?

Four detainees – Chinese nationals of Uighur ethnicity – will be released from the Guantanamo Bay detention facility today and resettled in Bermuda. Why Bermuda? What kind of prison does this island have and will these prisoners be there forever? Was there some sort of behind-the-scenes deal?

And Iranians head to the polls tomorrow. What are your expectations? What do we know about Ahmadinejad’s main challenger, Mir Hossein Mousavi? The sidewalks of Iran's capital are jammed with people – some say there have not been such massive political rallies in Tehran since the Islamic revolution 30 years ago. What effect has this election – and the energy it’s inspired – had on people in Iran?

What you've been following today? What would you like hear more about? Let us know and tune in for more tonight at 10 p.m. ET.

Of course there are others like him...of course there are more out there..and no we cannot completely stop hate crimes. Is that really the best question you could come up with? The mentality of some of these people is not hard to comprehend. What about this guy DON'T you understand? White Supremacist, Holocaust denier, etc etc. It just so happens this one waited until he was too old to care whether or not he took a bullet instead of dying of old age.

But how many are there? Who knows..there are more racists out there than will admit it. They come at all levels..some mildly so like my mom, who believes that anyone that isn't Christian is wrong, and that Muslims should not get to stop work so they can pray five times a day...(or any other religious observance that is not her own I would imagine). That is a bigoted and non-christian way to think, but she has her right to her opinion. Though she does believe in freedom of religion and that people can believe what they want.

How many of the people like the guy that shot up the museum? I don't know..my guess is there are more than we will ever know, and one should look to questions that CAN be answered. Hard to keep em honest when the question isn't answerable.

It's no secret that northern Michigan is host to a growing number of domestic terrorists – skinheads, white supremacists, and klan members. Guantanamo detainees are a distraction. The security of our country is being threatened by these homegrown hate mongers.

Antisemitism is a persistent and growing problem. Our society needs to do more to address it!

Also, how about a report on tougher restrictions on executive pay for companies that have received bailout money and the appointment of a pay czar?
