Editor's Note: The plight of the two American journalists held in North Korea (Laura Ling and Euna Lee) is on the minds of many of you. The majority of comments center around sympathy over what’s happened and requests for more information as quickly as it can be gotten and distributed. A few of you took time to thoughtfully question if there was there anything they could have done differently to help prevent this from happening to them. What do you think?

My heart goes out the families of the two journalists being detained in North Korea. It must so awful to know they are so afraid and not be able to help them.
This whole thing is more about the U.S.’s position on North Korea’s nuclear weapons strategies and less about two women journalists who crossed the border.
Great interview on the American journalists…this story scares me a lot. But I feel a lack of information about them. What happened today? What is the latest on the trial? Please inform us about them with
a post or breaking news. Thanks.
“The Lisa lings sisters story is not as simple as they make it seem. They were raised well but to assume that they can get away with pushing the limits is not a good lesson…”).
Laura Ling and Euna Lee, do they understand that they were in not only a country who is not a U.S. ally, but that they also put themselves in a place to be questioned about whether or not they broke the laws of North Korea. As journalists they take risks that most people don’t take, but shouldn’t they also be more careful than most people?
