Editor's Note: After last night's  AC360°, many viewers  commented on the abortion topic. Viewers were thankful for AC360° showing both sides of the debate. Diane Elder’s interview was called heartwarming and they felt Anderson did a great job allowing her to explain why she didn’t have a late term abortion. Viewers also sent in a few Happy Birthday wishes for Anderson.

Once again I couldn't have been prouder to be a fan of 360°. I love seeing the abortion topic from both sides, you showed the pro-life side vs the choice side, and I appreciate that. This is what NEWS is suppose to do, and this team does it better than anyone in the business.

The Dr. Tiller/abortion segment was both intelligent and manly, thanks.

Dear Anderson – I am very happy and relieved that you chose to have Diane Elder on your show this evening. Her story was heartwarming. As a Jehovah's Witness, if I was in her situation, I would like to believe that I would do the same.

Thank you for your continuing coverage of Dr. George Tiller's murder. I watched the woman tonight who chose to have her child, knowing that it would not live. That is the meaning of being "pro-choice". She was able to make the choice that was correct for her family. No one is "pro-abortion.

I have been watching your show on CNN since I was in junior high school. I have to say that the news that you provided not only keep me well informed but challenged me to keep myself informed of both this country and many others. As the clock strike midnight on the Eastern seaboard, I would just like to wish you a happy birthday, Mr. Cooper. Thank you very much for the years of service you have provided not only for me but for millions of people worldwide. I wish and hope that you will have a fantastic birthday and once again, Mr. Cooper, thank you very much for broadcasting.

Happy Birthday Anderson!! Thanks for all your hard work on AC360!! Also, How inspiring was that interview with the woman who chose not to have an abortion in the last trimester!! She said she didn't want to take her daughter's life. That was a great decision to have her on to share her perspective and reasoning. You rock AC and you are a great interviewer!!

I can never understand why the pro-choice call the other side anti-abortion. It just feeds the other side’s propaganda. Most pro-choice are anti-abortion, and feel a woman should have the right to choose. The real division is pro-choice and pro-no choice.

I wanted to thank Anderson Cooper 360 for his coverage of the issue of late-term abortion. The interviews/stories of both women were heartfelt and really showed all sides of the issue. That being said I am confused as to why no one has covered states like New York who allow abortions up to 24 weeks. I am grateful to live in a state that offers these services, without the extra stipulations about women's health. In New York that decision is left to a woman and their doctor, as it should be. I was in the position as a young adult where I felt I could no longer carry to term after 22 weeks. I did not need to explain myself to anyone, it was my own personal decision and it was the right one for me. It was not an easy decision and it was painful...but it was my decision to make. Carrying my pregnancy to term would have had devastating consequences in my life, for both me and the child.

Thanks for interviewing the mother who chose life for her disabled baby and letting her share her story. Anderson did a wonderful job of interviewing her. As a side note, my sister-in-law found out when she was 5 months pregnant that her first baby had a genetic defect that would cause the brain not to develop normally within the skull and that the brain would be outside of the skull resulting in death. She was told by her original ob-gyn that the baby would likely die immediately and that it was best to abort the baby. Being Catholic, she and my brother-in-law switched physicians and found a good Catholic pro-life doctor. Although the baby only did live 36 hours after being born, that baby girl was loved by many, many family members during that time.
