Second thoughts on indicting Cheney

I began having second thoughts about last week's column urging the indictment of former Vice President Dick Cheney for approving the use of waterboarding and other forms of illegal torture, shortly after it was published and posted last Monday morning – days before the Obama-Cheney back-to-back speeches Thursday.
Just to repeat briefly why I wrote that Mr. Cheney should be indicted:
It cannot seriously be disputed that waterboarding is "torture," as that word was defined by Congress in the 1994 federal criminal prohibition against torture: conduct "specifically intended to inflict severe physical or mental pain or suffering." No one seriously disputes that waterboarding intentionally inflicts serious physical and mental pain. Waterboarding was prosecuted after World War II as torture and has been notorious ever since the Inquisition.

When the former President of these United States condoned the use of “enhanced interrogation techniques”, as they wish to called them, I prefer there real name, TORTURE they shamed this country, they shamed every man and woman in uniform and they shamed every soldier who has died to defend this country, our beliefs and what it is we stand for and have always stood for in the world. If we were at war with a country who did these things to our people we would put them on trail for war crimes and either put them in prison or execute them. So Mr. President this is the United States of America. The home of the free and the land of the brave. Do we all live by the law or do we all live by the law except the Executive Branch?
After eight years of Dick Cheney's failed policies, and ideas we still have to listen to Mr. Cheney defend that failed administration. Tailk about torture. Enough is enough, I'll tell you everything you want to here just go away!!
First of all...I hate this man but even I would have found a nicer picture of him for this article...I mean, come on...he may be completely full of himself but that's just wrong.
Secondly, I have little to no interest in what this man thinks or does, outside of the benefits he is providing the Democratic party in making the GOP look even worse. The man has no argument and he and his daughter need to shut up. Their turn is over. I'm also sick of hearing from Newt...that man hasn't been a Public Figure for years...it's enough already. These two need to retire and sell hardware in Sears before they hurt their party even more.

Second thoughts???? DICK needs to be indicted. IF the Bush Regime is allowed to get away with breaking the laws of our Nation....... what then?
