Tonight on 360°, a look a small town in Montana that would welcome detainees from Gitmo. Yes, they want them. Right now it's a prison with no prisoners. City officials want to fill it with accused terrorists. We'll take you there.

Don't miss Erica Hill's webcast on the prison and tonight's other headlines during the commercials. Watch our WEBCAST

Cheney's "speaking out" is un-American, as defined by his own party. Remember? You can't have it both ways. Either you believe it's American to speak out or you don't..no straddling the line, Mike.

Anderson, Congratulations on your award. Thank you for the interview with Liz Cheney, I was growing frustrated with the others who allowed her to come on and talk nonstop and unchallenged.

raised in foster homes, it is interesting to hear you and Larry and how similar the loss of a father has the same impacts in life when the father is alive but not part of your life.

You are absolutely right... It does change your whole life... I don't think people would understand it unless they have experienced it. Speaking from experience here.

    Enjoying your interview with Larry.

Bravado in the face of truth is the lowest form of cowardice. It is especially hypocritical coming from an administration that viewed any disagreement of Presidential policies as un-American. Clearly, former VP Chaney is struggling with the peaceful relinquishment of power upon the will of the people.

"Do you love being in love?" Um......I don't even know what to make of this question. I just find it annoying and (redundant)?

Just what we need...rural cops guarding the mastermind of 9/11. Unless an unbiased jury is available and there is an opportunity for a not guilty verdict – and we all know different – a US trial for these men is no more than a sick joke. Better to let them live out their lives at Gitmo, give them the opportunity to make peace with their Maker if they will.

Democrats have always tried to claim the moral high ground as being the party of tolerance. Tonight's blog points out how hypocritical this position is. Cheney has a right to speak. I saw no lack of opposition under Bush.

Are enhanced interrogation techniques similar to expedited compassion for assassination techniques? Isn't rhetoric wonderful?

The question I would have asked Cheney's daughter: Why is she privy to so much information regarding national security?

Thank God the FBI caught those guys. I feel sorry for them though, so turned around and mixed up.

Oh the New Zealand couple, they did make their getaway? They were already married did they already make their getaway?

Now with the arrest of the suspected terrorests in New York, we'll get a chance to see how the Obama admin will handle things. The accused will have lawyers paid for by you and I, to work the courts every which way but loose... We've met the enemy – and he is us...

I think Dick Cheney's just trying to save his pride. His daughter is helping him with that, but what she said did not make sense. Everyone knows what torture is, and they're saying all of a sudden this endangers US citizens. It does not make any sense at all.

This is really making me angry!!!! I just see all of this energy and
effort being spent to work against the current administration.
The same thing happened during the Clinton admin. how cool
would it be to see the conservatives working "with" for the betterment of our country.!!!!

As one can read, from my prior comment, as a lifetime republican, Cheney [both father and daughter] changed my mind about prosecution of the alleged torturers. Release the toruture documents and prosecute the alleged torturers, all the way to the top. Let a Jury decide if those involved violated the law. Let our constitution work and allow a jury decide if the law was violate.

These four wannabe terrorists reinforce one of my previous comments on why Gitmo detainees shouldn't be released into federal prisons. These guys seem to have been chasing some quick 'visibility' (or infamy). I'm sure there are more such wannabes in prisons who are waiting for some encouragement to get into radical Islam (a short cut to headlines).

I forgot to say good evening to David Gergen. You are just right and I find myself agreeing with you.

I am glad these terrorists were caught before anything bad happened. Praise to polices and anyone who had anything to do to get them.

Enough with Liz Cheney. "Enhanced interrogation techniques" are torture, plain and simple. All the Cheney's defenses prove who really ran the admin. during the past 8 years. No more torture, we must move on!

    1. When someone is elected by the majority, I don't think it means that everything he says and does is agreeable by everyone that voted for him. Even Congress disagrees with some of Pres. Obama's ideas.
    2. It is irony that Pres. Obama speaks of the sanctity of our Constitution, as he takes over private companies and expands his powers beyond any democracy can claim.
    3. At least the Bush 'Administration's mistakes are repairable. Obama's changes will be irreparable.

Americans said “no” to the republicans at the ballot box and this continued diatribe underscores one of the primary reasons why WE chose the current administration to run our country. The Cheney’s are fanatical liars and Americans know it–except those Americans who are in denial simply because of their own bitterness over losing the election.

Put them in jail and throw away the key, thats what you get for trying to commit terroist act in our country. Well lets see will the prisons be able to hold them, isn't that what all this Guatomano thing that Congress can't come to grips with, that our prison doesn't have adequate facilities.

  38. Al Farina

Enough of Dick Cheney. He love this country so much that he refused to serve. He states the US needs to stay vigilant about terriorism but when he and Bush came into office they ignore anyone trying to brief them about terrorism and now he continues to believe his own lies about everthing that he did was legal based on decisions handed down by their legal department. Give me a break. Cheney is trying to cover his butt. Liz Cheney is another piece of work, a parrot for her father. If she only knew how ridiculous she sounds mouthing her fathers scripted lines.

Montana is sure far from NY! I have an idea....why dont you poll all those that lost loved ones on 9/11...the ones that lost husbands, wives, sons, daughters, brother and sisters. Ask them if they feel we have treated these terrorists too badly or have been too harsh. Its too easy to take a stance when your on the sidelines and not in the game.

It was obvious he had questions he felt was necessary to get answered. If Anderson had more time he would have been able to get more information from Ms. Cheney.

Lifetime Republican, but can't support Cheney, he's off the deep end. His time would be better spent on psychiatrist's couch. Take daughter with him! Let our President lead this nation anywhere except down the road we have traveled in reverse these past hedious years! (Now convinced Cheney was heading that ugly show – not Bush.)

Liz Chaney, Why? "Enhanced interrogation techniques" are torture, plain and simple. It was wrong for the 8 years of Bush/Chaney and it will not continue under Obama! With the Chaney's speaking, we see openly who really ran the admin. for the past 8 years, no more torture, enough with political correctness, it was and always will be torture and is a black eye on our nation's history! Enough with the Chaney's and Bush, we must move on!

I agree - Mr. Cheney must be getting very nervous. More visible now than when he was in office. Kharma is knocking and at his age he is not far from judgement day. Be careful DIck, Mr. Obama has manors but we all have tolerance thresholds and you and the gang have exceeded your boundaries a long time ago. The day of reckoning is upon you..........
What we do in life echoes in eternity!
