The path of Flight 3407
The pilot of a doomed plane that crashed, killing 50 people, said "Jesus Christ" and "We're down," seconds before the plane hurtled from the night sky into a house outside Buffalo, New York, in February.
The last sounds heard in the cockpit were First Officer Rebecca Shaw saying "We're" and then screaming at 10:16 p.m. on February 12, according to a transcript of the cockpit recording.
Seconds earlier, the pilot, Capt. Marvin Renslow, said, "Jesus Christ," as a sound "similar to stick shaker" was heard, the transcript said. Renslow said, "We're down," and a thump was heard before Shaw said, "We're" and screamed.

I fly on these "regional" jets all the time from my "regional" airport (ABE) and it's really scary hearing how poorly trained some of their employees are. Really scary. Just one example of the problems that arise when these companies keep cutting wages and hire only newbies... airline crew need great training and experience...
"that better place on the other side. " WHAT? I would rather be here with my family. This is something that is 100% real. Why do people assume there is a 'better place" after death?
I'm so sorry for the loss of the people on the airplane. Hopefully the recordings will help figure out what happened to the doomed flight.
I've been the position of hearing my son's last words, and I found it comforting. However, I'm not sure I would want to share his recorded voice with the rest of the world. It's a very personal thing.
What we all hoped was the idea that we'd pass out before the plane crashes – sounds like this was not the case. How sad they all were aware of their impending death.
From reading all this its quite evident that the pilot needed more training – not just on the stick shaker but more training in general since he failed the pilots test numerous times. This flight seems like it was an instant recipe for disaster and that these people did not have a chance in arriving to their destination safely in the weather conditions that night given the inexperience of the crew.
One can only pray and/or assume that every soul involved in this tragic event was instantly transported to that better place on the other side. It's the one's left behind that must now learn to live here on earth without their loved ones that remains tragic.
This has to be extremely hard and sad for these peoples families to hear the dying words of their loved ones. I think I’d rather not go there and just leave it as it is. Hearing this won’t help them or bring their loved ones back. Why the media has to air this stuff is beyond me.
